it'd basically be exactly like the Sig of the week except with Avatars instead?

Signature submissions must be your own work.

The various competitions here are not about you requesting other people to enter in your name, but about you entering them with your own work.
And they also serve as one of the best way a lot of people can improve in their own "graphicking" :P

Of course nothing stop you from requesting a signature or avatar here. But the things you request there cannot be used in the competitions.

Just a suggestion for the polls......

When doing the polls for SOTW, could you use the image, as well as the name of the entrant for the poll choice?

that makes it so much easier for me, and i think it would for a lot of others too.

If the image string is too long, it won't work. I have tried it in the past & only a 1/3 of the images will fit.
