I generally spend a good few weeks/months not actually drawing but coming up with idea's etc, My last picture i posted here took me 3 months to draw in total as I hit creative block at points and didn't want to potentially ruin the picture so just waited it out until I could think of something to add.

This is a great thread. Here's one of my pictures. It was concept art for a Star Wars Battlefront II mod I never got around to doing.

I say that helmet looks pretty good to me. The only thing I can see as far as flaws might be that you would be able to see part, if not all of, the first vent/slot on the right hand side of the visor. Beyond that it looks very neat and crisp.

That's not bad at all, Meyerlifts. Looks like the professional kind of initial concept art one might see coming from the desk of a game designer.

Here are a few more. The last picture is insanely old... I drew it back when I played Warcraft III. I edited the space ship picture using Paint.net and Gimp. Strangely enough, I have never taken any art classes... aside from first grade. But I'm going to take one this year.

and to JunkAngel : im in the same boat with you there, i rarely draw from life, nor do i end up drawing anything realistic at all. just as long as your drawings are interesting and you are happy with them, nothing else matters
