No, I was testing somthing, and I needed it to be passworded (see
rilfle sniper post, re:antilag issues)

Beta2 is basically ready, but I'm trying to identify why some of us are
sometimes getting Wolf.exe crashes after warmup.. not found it yet, and
infact it only happens when certain players are playing.. mmmm scratches
head.. I'll give it a little while longer, and just release it I guess.

Also I've been working on a stats program, based on wolfstat.. tis done,
now I need to look at the scoring in WW, as someone pointed out to me, its
really a bit wacko.. too many points for TNTing somthing, and too little
for frags.. also I wana make end-game screen with some stats on (bit like
ET ;))

If you have a known list of players from one of those games, you should have them all send you their wolfconfig_mp.cfg files and paste the contents into Excel so you can sort it alphabeticaly and with a column for each player. I bet that there is some setting common only to those players who are being kicked. And won't be in those who remain in the game.

Excel is actually a great debugging tool... It's the one MicroSoft office product that I use because I prefer it to the competition. (the rest I use because of corporate inertia)

One thing i've noticed and no one has picked up on is the volley rifle sound. When you reload the sound stops before you've finished reloading!

Hewster July 7th, 2003 12:07 PM

aye theres a good reason for that A-E.. its currently using the mp40
re-load sound :/..
same as the colts, its just the original colt re-load sound.

Doing SFX, is always last on my to-do list and there are sooooooooo many to
do, you don't realise until you start changing them !!
but I promise I'll try and get them all done for the final version.

I found a bug in the governer-map when i was banditdoctor in the initial startarea. I run with normal speed and look straight up in the air and throw a molotov.

Normally the molotov will fall down just behind you with normal flames and without hurting you but of course it will hurts someone behind you hehehe. But at the sandroad (not in the desert) the molotov not gives normal flames and perhaps no damage neither to a player behind you. I also tested it in canyon but no problems here.

@mikkelmikkel
May perhaps be a bug but makes WW more ralistic: If the bottle doesn't break in the sand no flames will burn anybody 8)

Well i suppose that the road is made of stone and sand and afterall must be more hard that the surrounding desert. Soo it will be more naturally if it flames on the road. It is a bug because the flames depends on how you throw the molotov :)

HI,

don`t know if this is by design or not ?!?

Hacienda Map, Gouvenors Room.

I wanted to kill the gouvenor as a miner with a dynamite pack. So I throw a dynamite pack at the gouvenor.... than a wanted to arm the dynamite.. buuuut as the dynamite pack hit`s the gouvenor he dies immediatly...

so, no shooting, or "grenading", "knifing", "molotoving" or something else, just throwing a unarmed dynamite pack....

And ideas ?

Yes, he's allergic to dynamite. :) Luckily, I doubt this will come up in the course of actual matches.

Capt. Queeg July 9th, 2003 05:07 PM

I think we've all tried that. I ran behind him to see if he would push me out the window. No go. He just poltergeists through you.

Dynamite works if you put it beside him. Then you just let the person plow through you and they have to sit there for 10-20 seconds jumping around and they can't save the gov's life. I had this done to me. Kind of annoying!

I've got one. Allow the dynamite stash explode if you use a molotov on it. Then one on one in Hacienda actually has a chance as you might be able to get through and the cowboys can't simply throw molotovs on it themselves. Doesn't that make sense? Same for the stash in the Canyon map.

Either that or just make cracks in the wall. It would make more sense that way.
