WW Problem...

Downloaded the mod and installed fine. However, when I try and join a server, it tells me I have an invalid CD key... Any ideas? My normal RTCW connects just fine...

Cheers,

Tim
Dumb ass, question asking, noob :uhm:

Re: WW Problem...

Did you try to delate the key in WW folder and every key in WW.You have to keep the key in main folder of RTCW. This worked for me .ok

And don't go into the CDKey editor just to check to see if the key is there. Enter it, click verify and then never go into the screen again.

That's one of the most common mistake since when you go into that sceen you have to enter the last few characters again...

hey yeah...welcome to the forum...and, providing you got the issue fixed...welcome to the servers! just a hint...if this is your first time playing WW, you might want to spectate a veteran player (look for the WW tag in front of their handle). also, if you let everyone know you're new, you'll get help/answers from both teams during the game

Re: WW Problem...

Deleted all trace of the rtcwkey of the computer. Get invalid CD key.

Go into RTCW and enter the key. Exit RTCW. WW says invalid CD key.

Write protectrtcwkey. WW says invalid cd key.

This does not look promising :o(

Re: WW Problem...

Kosh

Try moving all your PK3 files from your RTCW main file to a saved folder on your computer. Then deleate Wildwest and RTCW.

Reload RTCW and reenter the CDKEY

Then reinstall Wildwest

After this copy the PK3 files back to your main directory in RTCW.
I know this is a pain but I can promise you the wildwest MOD is well worth the effort.
