I've played AA:O since the early days, and there's been cheats around at least since december - but lately it's gotten so bad you can BET there's at least one cheater on any non-official server, and not that rarely on the official ones too. Strangely enough clan players seem more likely to use cheats than others - I'd have hoped it would have been the other way around, so that only clueless noobs used them, but sadly that isn't the case. There appears to be precious little honor in many, perhaps most, clans. You know who you are.
Basically, the FREAKING evilhack and others like it is ruining this game. What's the point of playing when the cheater always knows where you are, isn't affected by smoke or flash, and can snipe with the SAW better than a non-cheater can with the sniper rifle - or he can simply turn on autofire, so he doesn't even have to do the shooting himself?
Worse; because these spineless cheats are so common, whenever someone actually IS a good player, he get suspected of cheating.
Me, I'm not going to play any until the 1.8 patch is out, and if it doesn't deal with the cheaters, I'm out.
Same here m8, im out if this dosent stopp. the game is damn funn to play, but no thanx. beeing a crash-test dummie for some low life, glue-sniffing cheater is not my thing good luck to all u other thats choose to stay on AA.............
Just stick to HomeLAN so you can get an AGA if need be. That way you can have fun AND catch any cheaters that might be out there. Perhaps you are just being a sore loser and some of the people you think are cheating are just good or lucky
It is amazing that they can land a man on the moon but they can't stop cheaters. This the army we are talking about and I hope that they really teach those cheaters a lesson.
I say just a quick registry scan upon entering a server'ld do us just fine. Every week, the detection software to do this could be updated with the new info on malicious registry entries. Anyhoo, that's just my Idea, feel free to post on it's flaws.....
you finally realized that?
I stopped playing AA since 1.4!
1.3 and under was great no hack or anything(except 1 crappy wallhack that is useless)
yep they used floppy, cdrom, and different drives to hack.
The best idea, to get rid of those hacker is not to let them know that they are being scan. That's how Arena Tournament stops all of the players that hack.
