Man, i'm tierd of this. Will you guys just stop whining about cheaters? It's strange, I have bin a loyal AAO player since august, and I have never had a problem with cheaters. Hell, i've never even seen one. Maybe its because I only play at insurgent camp, weapons cache SE, and radio tower official HomeLan servers. But what i think the problem is is that you guys are to arrogant to admit you get killed sometimes. Well, if thats the case, stop bitchin and get better.

do not kid yourself ive seen the forum of one hack for AA and the membership numbers are very scary as far as numbers ..i cannot remember the last time i even played CS ..opps AA 1.8 comes i will try it (PB) but if it dont work i will wait for the next patch how can i gain honnor in a game i dont have any faith in any more .... my 2 cents

I am indefense of all clan player with skillbots rather than aimbots.

I'm a clan player, I'm with [Ancients]. I know for a fact that nobody in my ourfit cheats. We have 2 members inclusing the headcheese who are L10 HA members (low level I know) and we have numerous people who will testify that we are clean players.

Many of the clan players I play with and against are simply skilled enough that noobs think they're cheating.

A:
We practice and memorize angles precicely to target our shots as accurately as possible within the beginning seconds of any match.
When we see red tect from an admin that says "Don't spawn anymore" We will stop, until then, MOVE.

"How does he know where I am every time?"
A:
He uses his brain and his 5.1 system.
If you wanna stay hidden, don't shoot until you see something to shoot at or you KNOW where to blind shoot.
We've learned to follow tracers, use our surround to track you to a specific point on the map or blindfire you OR report you to the 203er who sends a 40mm ICBM up your (explative deleted).

He's faster with his M16 than you are with your sniper and he knows a little bit about CEM.

Wherever he knw you wouldn't look for him. These guys (as nerdish as this sounds) are professionals at this. If they could make money at it, they'd be millionaires.

He's killing you all.

That wasn't a question, don't speak out of turn.
You missed him because you didn't bring your sights up. The pros know how to bring their sights up quickly and fire effectively... OR to just run for cover and throw a frag at you.

I was once a noob as well, so I know how grustrating it can be getting stuck on defense against a team of {COMPOUND} guys or more recently a team of [-UNITY-] and [Ancients] (we play a lot together now).

I don't know what clans specifically you're talking about but the guys I associate with are simply top notch. Look at some of the top names on ArmyOpsEurope.

You're all right, if all the rumors are true, Punkbuster will come out with 1.8. Hopefully this will scan DX and Registry entries.

Problem with DX and reg scans:
AAO must ask permission before any scan of your computer by mandate of the information security act of 1998.

Who in their right mind would allow the Department of Defense (DOD) to openly and freely scan their computer?

The dept of Homeland defense has the ability to gain access to anyone's computer without their knowledge or consent as long as a special warrant is issued. But neither the DOD nor the Dept. of the Army has such permissions.

Punkbuster operates on different parameters than system scans, but it may not defeat many of these hack programs out there such as the smoke/fog/recoil hacks. I'm not sure, I don't know how the system works and I don't pretend to be an expert. You should all look at the facts very carefully. AAO has nothing to lose, they are not charging for the game and they are not selling it. They gain no revenue from anything but advertising and we have all seen how much of that they are doing. Every tiny fragment of this project has been free to the people.

Think it over and ponder before you get all psyched up.

I will also add something to this topic. I played pipeline most of the time with 203 and almost every server somebody call me a cheater. I play that map only w 203 and then get opfor gun when entering house. I trained a lot and find nice spot for 203 shooting.(Near spawn where two green houses are, there is a little box u can climb on and shoot w 203 and nobody can hit u from vents). I always had double digits in kills (first 7 rounds 15-20 then they stop coming out) but that is not reason to call me a cheater. When somebody call me cheater i go to www.traacker.com and see he played pipline 1 or 2 hours and he want to be expert.(once somebody call me a cheater but could not find second valve).
There will be cheaters in every game but AA is far much better than CS(Cheaters Strike).

BTW: The best cheat i saw on AA was on pipeline when some guy killed four of us with 203 on spawn 3 seconds in the game, then he left game.

I just knew some clanner would interprete what I said to mean that _all_ clans cheat. That is of course not so at all.

But it is equally untrue that all clans are honorable.

A very large percentage of clanners playing on public servers (and not that rarely also on official servers) now use cheats (perhaps not the aimbot, but e.g. marking, to be able to tell friend from foe from a distance and avoid ambushes). It's not so strange; clanners are in the know, they know what cheats there are and where to get them. Only their honor keeps them from cheating, and as I said it's obvious many clanners don't have any.

Why do I think cheating is rampant? Because I'm skilled, and I've played AA:O since version 1.3. I've played against many very good players and know what's reasonable. I've been accused of cheating more times than I care to remember. But until about two weeks ago, I had seen perhaps 2 people I thought were cheaters, total. Until then I pretty reliably had either the highest or the second highest number of kills on my team, but suddenly I was lucky to get one kill. Had I gotten Alzheimers? No.

At the last public server I played on, 4 out of 16 players openly admitted cheating, and spent their downtime discussing the settings of the cheat (and accusing me of cheating too).

But really, regardless whether you believe me, or have noticed the game getting insanely hard lately, the download counter of the cheat sites tell the story: 200 000 downloads, guys.

No matter how you slice it, that's an awful lot of cheaters.

wake up people this is what ive been saying.. game in denal if you like, but thst is the reality of AA ..CS what is the diff ... i can be glad for one thing at least i didnt spend my hard earned money to buy the game .. is the game half full or half empty with cheaters

As long as we acknowledge that it is only "cheater clans" who are more inclined to use cheats. There are Rogue members of course, but clans cannot be faulted and generalized like that, it is unfair to us honest players who have worked our asses off to be the best in the business.

And go play MP once in a while, you might find someone who headshots you with a SAW from a mile or so away. Then he'll kill 6 others the same way before an admin kicks him.

That is a nob cheater. It is the more skilled cheaters you need to worry about, the ones who can act even as they cheat to make you think they aren't.
