Cheaters ruin this game.

I do not believe there are as many cheats as you think (to the first post guy) I play aa alot and have only thought once or twice that there was a cheater. I'm a clan member and we play on TWL (teamwarfare) and we've been using anti-cheat software for months now to enter matches. Yes there are a few cheaters but it is not as widespread as you say. Also, yes you would find more cheats on unofficial servers but that's easy to fix, don't play there.... I get accused all the time so that is why I'm looking forward to the anti cheat from punkbuster!!

they are actually using punkbuster which scans your memory to see if any cheats are running and not your registry

America's Army isn't using PunkBuster yet, or you would see messages saying stuff like "(playername) got kicked by a PB Admin due to a cheat violation"

TWL is different. Those cheaters hava a heart not to cheat on TWL, but most of them do cheat on public server. They do cheat, but you didn't realize that Vinderal. That's the reason I joined a clan, to play with loyal, honor, and integrity players.

Evilhack alone has been downloaded 200 000 times. Cheating is rampant in AA:O right now; as I said you can expect to find cheaters on basically any non-official server, and on most of the official ones too (but there the cheaters are a bit more careful, and don't use the too-obvious cheats).

yes the cheaters definately destroy this game.that is why i hope 1.8 with punkbuster will stop all the cheating

Damnit, stop naming cheats! There's been several noobs that have asked for cheats on these very forums lately, now you've given them something to search for :-(

And as nearly everyone said, you're exagerating, there certainly aren't that many cheaters. Go play CS and you'll discover what it's really like to have cheaters practically on every server.

I've seen no cheaters whatsoever on HomeLAN servers, once or twice on SCI, and I play nearly every day. With the addition of PunkBuster (hopefully sometime this summer) I think we'll see very few cheaters, except on servers run by insane admins having disabled PB.

FYI, PB is not coming in the next patch, and it according to information [DEV]Abraxas supposedly gave on IRC, the next patch won't be 1.8 either.

As officer KAH said, i go along with him, there aren't nearly as many cheaters as you said, maybe one every 7 or 8 servers, and also along with officer kah, i have never seen any cheaters on homelan. I heard the next patch will not be 1.8 but 1.8.1
