Critical Error

For some reason, I keep getting a critical error when i play AA:O. I get the same error messages on 2 different computers. I have had this problem every since 1.4 and I have no idea what causes it, but here is the message:

No Label

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: GenuineIntel PentiumPro-class processor @ 995 MHz with 382MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 100/200 (4345)

General protection fault!

History: UObject::ProcessEvent <- (AGP_HUD Tunnel.AGP_HUD2, Function AGP.AGP_HUD.Destroyed) <- ULevel::DestroyActor <- (AGP_HUD Tunnel.AGP_HUD2) <- UObject::ProcessEvent <- (HumanController Tunnel.HumanController2, Function AGP.HumanController.Destroyed) <- ULevel::DestroyActor <- (HumanController Tunnel.HumanController2) <- UPlayer::Destroy <- UNetConnection::Destroy <- UObject::ConditionalDestroy <- (TcpipConnection Transient.TcpipConnection0) <- DestroyServerConnection <- UNetDriver::Destroy <- UObject::ConditionalDestroy <- (TcpNetDriver Transient.TcpNetDriver0) <- DispatchDestroy <- (23929: TcpNetDriver Transient.TcpNetDriver0) <- DispatchDestroys <- UObject::PurgeGarbage <- UObject::CollectGarbage <- Cleanup <- UGameEngine::LoadMap <- AttemptLoadPending <- TickPending <- UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop

I also have all the lastest drivers and all the Windows updates. This happens on all maps, not just the tunnel as listed above.

Post it on the AA forums.. not on the AAFiles forums... They have a Tech Support section there... Looks like a graphics problem.. but I am not sure

eek!!! I had a Geforce 4 MX and it sucked like hell! I would get that same message 99% of the time! ...and the 1% would be like a VERY LOW detail game!!!
Now, i have a Platinum Geforce 4 - TI 4800 SE! Now, THAT :rock::rock: !!!

Yeah, a new puter with a G4 Ti4800 would be nice, but i just bought a new house and cash is a little tight, so i have to deal with what I got, know what I mean?

This puter is better than the one i was running on though. Was on a AMD K62 533.

hhhhmph , i think its something to do with ur DIRECTX
try reducing ur HARDWARE SOUND ACCELERATION LEVEL to : Standard Acceleration , that solved alot of probelms for me :) , and try re-installing ur directx , or get a new version :)
