Yes, yes, I'm a noobie! : It's not the first time, won't be the last. If anyone could give me some help on the honor/scoring system, it would be greatly appreciated. I understand that honor is based on scoring, but I have not seen anything that accurately correlates the two. What positive score results in a 1pt increase in honor, and does it vary depending on your current honor score? Also, I read in the AA manual that honor is tallied after server exit or AvsD tally reset. However, if that individual tally results in no honor change, do points carry over to next AvsD round set, or next server? Also, if any clans/squads are interested in a noob that didn't have alot of beginner's luck in his first day, but was very impressed with the game, and interested in learning from those with experience, I would welcome any clan/squad info. Thanks for the help.
"To be prepared for war, is one of the most effectual ways of preserving peace"
This was taken from some AAO site, I don't remember.
I got this a while ago so some of the info might be incorrect, but most of it should be correct.

How Honor is won/lost
Every new player begins the game with an Honor level of 10. Your player’s Honor level will rise or fall depending on your actions in the game. Some of the things you can do to increase or decrease your Honor are shown below:
Your Honor will decrease when you:
Fire upon other players (variable drop, based on ROE points)
Are kicked from the server for ROE violations (major drop)
Are detected using a known bug exploit (total lose of honor)
Are killed by any other player (minor drop of "in-game" honor per kill)
Your Honor will increase when you:
Win the current mission (major bonus)
Participate as a leader (variable bonus, based on position and win / lose status)
Survive the mission (variable bonus, based on number of survivors; higher for leaders)
Secure objectives (minor bonus per objective)
Kill OPFOR (minor bonus per kill)
Points and Levels
Honor levels increase from earned Honor points in-game. Here is basically how the system works:
Where (Kills-Deaths) can never be < 0
And (LeaderBonus) can never be < 0
Wins = 50 pts
Kills = 10 pts
Objectives = +1 to 1 pts as per Show Scores
Leadership = 5 pts per subordinate alive + (5/+10 pts for win -4/-8 pts for loss) + Majority Team Survive Bonus
Death = -5 pts
Idle kick = -100 pts
ROE = -1 to 1 pts as per Show Scores
ROE Kick = -500 pts on top of ROE points
Examples:
Player 1 participates in 5 winning rounds, kills 0 OPFOR, dies twice, and accumulates no ROE
The highest Honor level obtainable is 100 and only achievable after a player has played thousands of successful games and won hundreds of thousands of points in Honor. The lowest honor level is 0. If you drop at or below Honor level zero, your account will be banned.
Your Honor will not be updated until you leave the server you are currently playing in or after you have played a certain number of rounds. Honor will not be updated between games or rounds. If you leave the game before the round ends, you lose any honor you acquired during that round. Also, Honor is only acquired on official HomeLan servers with 4+ players.
Since each Honor level is made up of many points, you may not see a change in your Honor level over the course of several sessions of play.
Tips on maximizing honor (in order of importance):
Accumulate no ROE
Have your team win the round
Participate as a leader (SL or FTL)
Kill OPFOR
Play maps with lots of objective points
Have a large majority of team survive
Stay alive
How Honor affects play
Your Honor affects your team role selections within the game. If you prefer a certain weapon class, then increasing your Honor will increase your chances of receiving a certain weapon during play. High honor is not a guarantee as other factors play a part in weapons selection.
In the field, you can be promoted due to casualties. When a Squad Leader is killed, the Team Leader with the highest Honor is promoted to take his place. When a Team Leader is promoted or killed, the team member with the highest Honor is promoted to take his place. If you start as a leader and are killed during play, you will not receive any Honor bonus for leadership. If you are promoted during the mission, you will receive a partial bonus. If you start and end the mission as a leader, you will receive a higher bonus.
Thanks shrek. Lots of what you mentioned was in the adobe manual file I have, possibly word for word, but it was missing alot of what you mentioned, especially the [score pts/honor] chart, which was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the help.
