Speed Problem

I've never had this problem, but I just recently pumped up everything to Max in Max Payne and I am in the manor and I walk near a door and you here an explosion and it crashes back to the desktop. I have all optimal performance except I only have 533 Mhz. I might get a 1 Ghz chip. Will this fix the problem? I have a Voodoo5 and run the game in 1024x783 and I already tried 800x600. I even tried 1280, and it was great! It makes the graphics amazing! When I get the 1 Ghz chip, will I be able to use everything and run it at 30 FPS. I think I can only get it to run 10 with 1280xsomethin'
Please don't tell me. "There's your problem, Voodoo5 sucks." I like the voodoo5 and it works fine! http://www.veforums.com/biggrin.gif

So what's the problem again? Frames issue or a crash?

There's a crash, but I have bad FPS so I wanna know if I get a 1 Ghz chip, will it stop it from crashing? Because then I will have optimal performance
