I love Zyzyx...He is the most helpfull thing in ANY game... "Your creatures are dying!" "You are low on Mana"(although this gets annoying) "Your creatures are under attack!" "An enemy wizard is approching your alter!" "Enemy sighted!" "I knew it! I knew it all along!" Where would you be without him?! Heres the real question is he related to manahoars? They both are silly no armed creatures. I really like zyz's enemy wiz approach, altar being desecrated etc stuff. I like it when Zyz tells me my alter is being desecrated, or one of my buildings is under attack. If you've every seen a normal, earth bird of any kind (non-human) you might notice the wings. You might also notice that it does not have arms. It's cheating to give them both, unless you're making an angel or a fairy or something. Yeah, I wish I could stuff him into a little pickle jar... No wait, that's Navi from Zelda. *groan* after enduring that, Zyzx is no problem at all... Heh heh, he's a slave who pretty much thinks you're a rat-bastard, so it's no surprise he's negative. Then again, I haven't finished single-player and I've been playing under Pyro so I pretty much *am* a rat-bastard, so maybe if you're playing under Persephone or James or something he has a little more compassion. To continue this stuff...again, I apologize, haven't finished the game so if it's revealed later sorry for wasting your time...but anyhoo, Zyzyx ain't from around here is he? I mean, the Gods don't even realize you're towing around a little helper. And he knows a *heck* of a lot for not being a native. And, it is implied he knows about quite a few more worlds. That means that he's either 1) magically omniscient or 2) very, very old. |

Well, actually we know Zyzyx isn't from around here (or there. playing too much? :-), since somewehre in the beginning of the campaign you tell Mithras how you had ensnared that little imp ("Last time I ever fall for that one, believe me") and that it was only thanks to him that you managed to navigate the astral voids or something similar. I like to think he's a very powerful being held back in a wimpy, half-present body, a small cage for his true greatness or something like that ... And by the way, he is the best advisor voice I can think of! His "Invalid target" just oozes of patience. And yeah, I registered just to post that reply. Thought it was a subject as good as any to start posting on :-) ... |
