Rhinoks
 

rhinoks are pretty cool, here are my opinions and experiences with the rhinok.

the rhinok's spike attack is probably one of the better lvl. 9 creature's attacks. It has a wide area of damage and works well. I've even seen a rhinok attack my silverbacks! their also equipped with halo of earth, a good spells be itself, it's like a portable demonic rift (one of my favourite spells) however i find it less effective. If you create 3 rhinoks, any enemy ground troops will be done for. accompany the rhinoks with say gargoyles or ikaurus and maybe a boulderdash or some earthflings and you've got a team that will last you a long time.

i found rhinoks easy to run away from hehhe, they are i little uneven, if they couldnt attack air or didnt have halo of earth OR they do damege to your freinds and yourself as well as your buddies. they are a little too strong.

I think Rhinoks are incrediably powerful, I tend to use on, two at max unless game is over. I like to keep them minimal and keep speed up on say one, and support with air troops.

The only reason why I think Rhinoks are not overpowered is because: I think the James line lacks decent flyers and is heavy on good tanks (earth...i.e. makes sense), in fact the best in the game. As a whole, I think it's very well-balanced. In fact as a whole, I think the the game is INCREDIBLY well-balanced.

you say james has good tanks with a lack of decent flyers because he's earth. makes sense. but james's flyers aren't that bad. ikaurus is pretty good and the gargoyle has area damage. you would think Stratos, the god of air, would have great flyers with a lack of decent tanks, being the god of air that would make sense. yet he has the same amount of flyers as every other god (except james) and his other units r good too. not 2 say stratos doesn't have good flyers or the game is unbalanced (because it is very balanced) but u would think stratos would have the most air units, just like james has the most ground units.

Well, personally I don't think James flyers are that good with the exception of Ikarus's special, Sticky Bomb, which is hugely useful to help bring enemies in range of the slow tanks that James has. They are okay, but I think on the less than average side. But again, James incredible melee tanks make up for it.

As for Stratos, I agree with you. Odd. However, I think Stratos has the best and most pure offensive spells in the game, just look at the damage ratios when considering casting time.

You know, I wonder if the Shiny people sit back and laugh or marvel at how we try to get in their minds. That's what I love about this game: the balance, the not straight across the board balance, but the thought they put into the "give and take".

Amen to your third paragraph, Waxax. I truly think a lot of people don't appreciate how much effort Shiny put into this game. In ALL aspects. People should think about that the next time they want to put up a whiny "the game is unbalanced" post.
