Force Patches?
Matrix2112

Hey, I love this game. The only gripe I have is that people are sitting in the MP chat room waiting for people to start games with their version. How lame is this? Think of the first time internet players who can't connect because of version numbers!

A wake up call Shiny!

Again I really, really love this game, and I only want to make it better!!

Scott (A professional beta-tester)

Yes, I have been paid to beta test software, that makes me a professional.

Computer gaming is the best, and Shiny really has come up with a Diamond.

I agree, too many people still use patch 1.

We've looked at doing that & would love to do so but there is a problem in doing so with the way the network code works. The other downside to force patching is that a new patch can sometimes cause a game that is working to stop working. As a compromise we are looking at adding a "message of the day" section to the game lobby where we can put in reminders that there is a new patch to upgrade to.

Sounds good to me. Just make sure these people know about it.

Thank you for your reply, ElWatto. I guess it is to easy to say that something needs to be fixed from this end while forgetting how difficult it can be for the development team to implement design changes without causing more problems to the user base than the fix is worth.
