Yet Another Stupid Question...
 

Can someone PLEASE explain the special spell progression bonus at the end of the game? For example, I saw Sara Bella with the mana fount behind her. Next game, I selected Stratos. No go, as far as I can tell.

Can someone give me a clue?

Ok, when you beat the game, you are allowed to use what is called a custom spellbook. This is basically the list of spells that you used during the single player. So, for example, if you selected persephone level 1, and james level 2, in your custom you would have persy lvl 1 and james 2 and so forth. Sara Bella has nothing to do with it.

The spell thing at the end is pointless, because you can just make your own custom in multiplayer.

One of the other bonuses you get at the end of a campaign is the ability to use either Marduk or Mithras in MP (depending on the god you used for level 9 of that campaign). Technically, you need only finish the campaign twice to get all of the perks. But you don't get to use any sort of custom until you get through it at least once http://www.veforums.com/smile.gif

An easter egg is an joke by the game designers put in the game. Some are intentionally clear, some aren't. For example, in Deus Ex, you can find chocolate bars called: Monty bites. Thats a friendly jab at the creator of the game: Monte Martinez. Another one, is when you're in Paris, you can see someone's dog called: Starr. You see him in someone's house you break into, but the dog is a hopeless guarddog. I'm guessing it is in real life too.

If you finish the game with Persy or James, you get mithras. Finish it with Pyro or Charnel, you get Marduk. Stratos, I'm not sure but I'm guessing Marduk.

Thanks for all the info, although I have to admit, this easter egg is one of the less-whelming ones I've run into. (In the process of finishing with Stratos - Done Charnel and Pyro - Can't figure whether to do Persy or Jim next (although Jim seems amusing after NARROWLY avoiding a couple of Bores in the Stratos whacks Jim mission)).

How's THAT for baffling punctuation?
