Perhaps this is also motherboard related?

The 1.07.00 drivers do *NOT* work on my Voodoo 3500.

The troubleshooting faq was updated today to tell me to upgrade to those drivers. I run them, and it doesn't work. Please tell MissM that she needs to specify 1.05.00 for the 3500.

You'll want to do 3 things (try the game after each):
1. Get the latest Banshee drivers from http://www.3dfxgamers.com/drivers/latest_drivers.stm

2. Set your desktop to 16bit color.

3. Disable AGP supporton that video card.

If you still have problems with the game after that, click start, go to run, and type dxdiag. Once that window pops up, write down your direct X version, and click on the display tab and write down the driver version, approximate total memory, and device name. Finally, click on the sound tab and write down the dvice name and driver version there. Post all that information and we'll work on your problem from there.

There are updated drivers available for the Voodoo3 - 3500. They are label "Release Candidate 1", which probably means semi-beta.

Windows 98/ME:
http://www.yamahayst.com/lsi/support/downloads.htm

Windows 2000:
http://www.3dfxgamers.com/view.asp?IOID=2461

(fingers crossed)

I downloaded the new "RC1" voodoo 3500 TV drivers.. completely uninstalled all traces of the old voodoo 3 drivers (including "3dfx tools") and installed this package.

I could enable fogging (which had to be turned off with the 1.05 voodoo 2000/3000 drivers), but i had to disable triangle strips to avoid missing limbs (which i didn't have to do using the 2000/3000 drivers).

but.. alas, no lifebars/spell timers.

There is yet to be a version of the Voodoo 3500 drivers that work with Sacrifice. The game is theoretically incompatible with the 3500 unless i run drivers that are not made for my card.

Also, if you'd like to see my DXDIAG report with these new RC1 drivers installed, here's the link:
http://65.32.1.161/spriseris/dxdiag-rc1.txt

I thought the driver date was strange until i read the readme... http://www.3dfxgamers.com/view.asp?IOID=2501
item #3: Latest Voodoo3 driver 1.06.00

So it's basically just the Voodoo 2000/3000 1.06.00 driver in a 3500TV driver package.

The only 2000/3000 driver that works with Sacrifice on a 3500 card is 1.05.00

Well, when I left the office on Friday, I still had not heard from 3dfx. I'll try and contact them again when I get in on Monday.
