Which is a better connection DSL , Cable , or T1?

my Road Runner cable line, in southern Cali, gets me pings ranging from 25-120 to game servers. i haven't noticed a difference as far the time of day that i'm on. as for limits on download speed, there are ways to 'un-cap' your connection.

I would have to say for DSL and Cable it all depends on your isp.

I have it now and its downloading at 950 kb persecond thats about 8x the schools T1! DSL IS BETTER THAN T1 BY FAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

A T3-line is about 48mbit/sek I think...

You can have one installed here in Sweden for slightly more than half a million swedish crowns... that's about 50-60,000$. The monthly fee is variable, but generally about 3-6,000$. (These prices are for a company or university, I don't know what it would cost for a normal person... )

Gotta say it again... we have 2 (two) T3-lines here for my student-dorm... (sorry.. )

They are linked to the main backbone in my city ( ca: 300mbit/sek )

Cable-modems haven't really caught on here as much as in the US, and DSL is just starting up.

I won't move out of here until I can get a broadband connection in a normal flat... I'm hooked..

Here at Shiny someone had the *bright* idea to get Business DSL instead of the T1 we had. You know, it's just as fast and a lot cheaper...NOT. Our ISP is crap and as a result it's a LOT slower now.

There must be some way to set up priorities on who gets what out of the bandwidth (proxy server?). That way the ones who need the bandwidth will get it, while does who don't *need* it won't download crap that will slow everybody down.

If that doesn't work, you can always go on a random shooting spree.
