Terrorist attack at US I just saw it on the news. World trade center, Pentagon, and another place I donīt remember... Those terrorists are extremly dumb I gotta say! If they want a war which I think is very stupid, they should NOT go against USA! If they continue being stupid they might be uhm, whatīs the word?....DEAD! Because of the lack of news in this forum, I posted bout this to get up a discussion. ------------------ Itīs raining outside... Iīve got a headache... Itīs cold... All the channels at the TV shows boring stuff... I am bored... The lightning may come and fry my computer... But Iīm not that lucky... All the cats have been outside... In the rain... One jump up in my lap... One in my bead... One over the keyboard... The only thing that is fun is the forum... But there is no one here... Itīs Swedish summer... |
Sorry I was abit angry first so I frogot to say that I am extremly sorry that all those people died today... http://www.veforums.com/frown.gif |
It was aliens. It's obvious. Just look at all the evidence. |
Dont you guys realise whats going on? We are entering a new dark age! Theres a chance that WW3 will take place! Taxes will be doubled! World trades will collapse! This is everyones problem! Puh, 6 deaths my ass. ------------------ Creativity fuels divinity www.geocities.com/helgrador/Helly_pics.html |
Dark age? That depends. The first thing is the united states will do is try to find a scape goat. Then they will pillage it. Once that is done, depending on the maturity level of the scapegoat, they will either counterattack or slink away. The economy will, indeed, take a hit, just not in the weapons department, I think. |
I just watched as our World Trade Center(the twin towers, N.Y....some of the tallest buildings in the world) crumble to the ground after a terrorist attack sends planes crashing into them, and I am still watching as our Pentagon burns in response to a similar attack....This is indeed a sad day for us......The carnage is still happening and planes are going down everywhere....another ones went down in Pennsylvania.....I wonder now what will become of this in days to come....how many people have just and will die in response to this catastrophe? All is not well this day...... ------------------ Single Player Sac-Maps: http://members.nbci.com/tenthoracle/sacmaps.htm Scapex-Working with Triggers http://members.nbci.com/tenthoracle/Triggers.htm Aliens & UFOs Among Us http://www.bright.net/~phobia |
Helly I donīt think that this will create a WW3 really. Hitler had extremly many on his side, how many do this terrorists have??? Not so many I guess... |
Our very own Pearl Harbor. The WTC is down. Much of my family is still in NY. We have accounted for everyone except one person. He works at NYSE, and is most likely taking a VERY long walk back home. They've shut it all down. Someone, no doubt, will be made to pay for this. ------------------ Questions are a burden to others, answers a prison for oneself. |
There is no way this could go to world war 3 really... once the country responsible is found, if it turns out to be driven by a country, there is no way that the country could stand up against the wrath of an angry Uncle Sam. This could be bad, but it will be no world war 3. Sensationalist comments like that can be dangerous when spoken by the wrong people... let's hope noone important makes a comment like that (important i.e. politican based) ------------------ smithers72 www.bwdne.com/smithers72 irc.enterthegame.com #sacrifice |
Agreed. I don't really think we have a WW about to start. I'm about as angry as anyone, but I don't think this will do it. Yes, let's hope the politicians and strategists stay away from World War talk. We can say what we want on a harmless forum... ------------------ Questions are a burden to others, answers a prison for oneself. |
Acctually I do think that there is a possibility that this will lead to a fullscale war. Considering all the people worldwide that would love to see this happen, alot of people could join up against the west. And not to be forgotten, I have to say that I'm very sad for all the people in New York who died because of this. ------------------ #sacrifice @ irc.enterthegame.com |
omg...I am stunned and shocked. This shows that the US is not invincible and supreme. Most of the terrorist actions have been done outside the US in the past, this time (unfortunately) not. You cant do much about this as a goverment or country to prevent extreme fanatic organisations such as the Jihad for example from committing those horrific acts. As Blair (UK) said: terrorisme is the big evil in this modern world and it should be eradicated, but that wont happen as it's impossible to eradicate all violence. These things are a result of the mid-east policy of the US and the resistance of the perhaps too fast changing modern world (capitalism, technology, etc) for people in the mid-east countries that goes against their oh so conservative islamitic thoughts. The World Trade Center is (was) the symbol and center of modern western capitalism and the Pentagon of the supreme American military. By attacking those 2 symbols and taking the lives of so many innocent people (which is a goal and purpose of modern terrorism), those terrorists have made their points and ideas clear. I can barely relativize their believes and thoughts (I live in a Western counry), because of those horrific acts. Seeing Palestinians celebrating these events with big joy is understandable, but in my views unacceptable: innocent lives were taken. This case is very complex and I am sure more things will follow. My thoughts goes out to all the Americans, because this is certainly a black day in your country's history. |
i am shocked, although from england i am still shocked at all the innocent killed, and the fact that people in jerusilum are having street party's and are burning flags and celebrating like mad and are dancing in streets etc., makes me sick to think they they celebrate over the deaths of innocent people. ------------------ stop whining stop whining stop whining stop whining is it just me, who hears arnold schwerzeneggers voice saying stop whining? |
My thoughts to Americans involved |
i am shocked something like this really happened. |
The blackest day in my eyes is our president is a nimrod who limited stem cell research. The scientest already say 60 cells is not enuff. The possibilitys of this saveing more lives than what died today is great. Why care about this when our president him self says i dont care how many people we cure and SAVE, i condem you to die becuase im a idiot. f&*( all of you who even care about the people who died when the real problems are not being address. |
Yeah, I'd rather have anyone BUT G-Dub in charge now. Perhaps others can sense that. That doesn't mean the guilty (and probably quite some others) won't be punished, but he is an idiot. Supposing now is a good time to leave him be to do whatever he's going to do: after all, I wouldn't trade Nikes with him for all of his Daddy's money. ------------------ Questions are a burden to others, answers a prison for oneself. |
I just feel sorry for the family's and the people that died. Dunno really whats going to happen as a result of this but I hope the best..... |
Incase you wanted to know: NEW YORK (AP) - In one of the most horrifying attacks ever against the United States, terrorists crashed two airliners into the World Trade Center in a deadly series of blows Tuesday that brought down the twin 110-story towers. A plane also slammed into the Pentagon as the government itself came under attack. Thousands could be dead or injured, a high-ranking New York City police official said, speaking on condition of anonymity. Authorities had been trying to evacuate those who work in the twin towers when the glass-and-steel skyscrapers came down in a thunderous roar within about 90 minutes after the crashes, which took place minutes apart around 9 a.m. But many people were thought to have been trapped. About 50,000 people work at the Trade Center and tens of thousands of others visit each day. American Airlines initially said the Trade Center was hit by two of its planes, both hijacked, carrying a total of 156 people. But the airline later said that was unconfirmed. Two United airliners with a total of 110 aboard also crashed - one outside Pittsburgh, the other in a location not immediately identified. Altogether, the planes had 266 people aboard. "This is perhaps the most audacious terrorist attack that's ever taken place in the world," said Chris Yates, an aviation expert at Jane's Transport in London. "It takes a logistics operation from the terror group involved that is second to none. Only a very small handful of terror groups is on that list. ... I would name at the top of the list Osama bin Laden." President Bush ordered a full-scale investigation to "hunt down the folks who committed this act." Within the hour, the Pentagon took a direct, devastating hit from a plane. The fiery crash collapsed one side of the five-sided structure. The White House, the Pentagon and the Capitol were evacuated along with other federal buildings in Washington and New York. Authorities in Washington immediately called out troops, including an infantry regiment. The Situation Room at the White House was in full operation. Authorities went on alert from coast to coast, the U.S. and Canadian borders were sealed, all air traffic across the country was halted, and security was tightened at strategic installations. "This is the second Pearl Harbor. I don't think that I overstate it," said Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb. I think I should listen to foreigners comments about America more often. The most hated country in the world. ------------------ "Stop! >i am shocked, although from england i am still shocked at all the innocent killed My sentiments exactly. Although I have been in London (and within a mile of the bombs) during a few IRA attacks this is on a whole different scale. I feel for the famillies involved on both sides (retaliation will almost certainly kill innocents in the area attacked by the US). still in a state of shock now. |
I think we've overused the word shock. Why don't we use something like "in a state on unconditional distress". ------------------ "Stop! I am really shocked by this incident. http://www.veforums.com/frown.gif I was at the ifabo, when it happened. Starguest was Al Gore, or better he should be. Uhm, I have been watching the TV about this from 16.00 Swedish time to 22.00 (Swedish time). First of all you see those "long-distant" clips but after a while, you see the tapes from inside the city. Itīs like Godzilla is lose or something. When one of the towers fall people just scream "OHHH MY GOD!!!" and run around like little ants. It seems unreal first, just like in a movie, when you see that plane go right into the tower and after half a second come out as an explosion. |
Godzilla doesn't do much. He walks to a city or two, destroys some stuff, lets loose on some tanks, defeats a monster (in most movies) then leaves. I'm a big fan and thats all he does. This terrorist thing is more devestating then Godzilla will ever be http://www.veforums.com/frown.gif ------------------ http://sacrificegaming.homestead.com...ed_Erdrick.gif "You cannot destroy me! I am destruction itself!" -Marduk |
I got some time left for browsing and I am at home today...Watched CNN and browsed the web...check some fora/forums...and I found this interesting quote: "In the City of God there will be a great thunder, Two brothers torn apart by Chaos, while the fortress endures, the great leader will succumb", "The third big war will begin when the big city is burning" - Nostradamus 1654 I don't believe much in these things...but I do find these things very interesting. The First Wave is one of my favourite TV series, as it's so exiting and mysterious because of those quotes of Nostradamus. I do find a World War3 unlikely, because I think these terrorist acts are committed by a group of people and not a country. (You need a country to war against, sure you can war aginst a group of people, but that won't lead to a real War, as the fights between the Isreali and Palestininas are not a "real" war) The claim that any country that is supporting this group by offering shelter (etc) is also guilty, could indirectly lead to declaring a war against a country. Fight against Terrorisme, but in a rational and proper way...lead them to freedom! ;-) note: That's 100% speculation, so don't flame me. |
|
My Opinion. The terrorists did not attack becasue they thought they could take the USA, they attacked to humiliate them and to kill people they hate. They wnated to show they have power and they did. They wanted to humiliate and make USA citicens feel low. Well it probably worked. My opinion there wont be a world war over this because only terrorists were involved against only the USA. A world war would be over domination rather then Terrorism. Countries may help USA track down the terrorists but a War probably wont happen. And i hope it doesnt. it is truly sickening to see what humans are capablke of. ------------------ Elementalism: it's like making sweet love to a rabbid racoon, its very difficult. |
There are explosions outside of Kabul. Apparently they aren't from the US though. Man, I just watched a clear video of the plane crashing straight into the WTC. Pretty ****ed up. I would comment on it more, but I've got stuff to do. :P TheMad ------------------ The light at the end of the tunnel has been shut down due to budget cuts. |
I'm sorry, but as sick and disgusted as I am by what occurred today, don't think for one minute that we Americans are humiliated and incapacitated by the deeds of a few evil cowards, no matter what they do to this country, how many of us they kill, this country will stand, and stand proudly. |
Incapacitated no... Not to humiliated, But shoking yes. When i say humiliation i dont mean shameful really.. More just unexpected and it kinda makes amarica seem not so strong anymore. ------------------ Elementalism: it's like making sweet love to a rabbid racoon, its very difficult. |
Yup. This is sort of depressing. Yes, thats an understatement. people died. I dont care about american pride. I would generally agree with what excilius said, but in this case, i am inclined to wonder. This is the first true attack on america since pearl harbor. Pearl Harbor, therefore, is one event constantly alluded to in relation to this horrid event. I think that is a cruel, cruel message to japan. Pearl Harbor, that singular event, was an attack on american soil. However, it was also a strategic assault on a military installation. Not, and this is extremely important, NOT a cold-blooded attack on human - especially civilian - life, which is what we witnessed today. The casualty report will be utterly atrocius. We will for months see the fallen's relatives moan before a candid nation. We will for years witness memorial services encouraging us all to 'remember where we were' when this occurred (spelling?). From my point of veiw, this issue might well go two or three ways. We may see something in the spirit of what excilius said-- a scapegoat. On the other hand (and you've gotta remember, those pentagon dudes have enormous egos and 'american pride'), we may very well accually go for some terrorist groups. And i think, frankly, that if you go for one, you're going for them all. Further, according to the rules of world policy, and America's idiot ideals on military might, we may well see countries proper drawn into a war, as well as further such assaults on american dignty. A war it might well become - wars have certainly been faught for less than 10,000 lives, and a dent in the pride of a few generals. You've also got to consider this: America cannot allow the world to consider itself malleable in any way. We MUST be the inpenitrable dynasty that we have been in previous years, and we must attain that respect on a world scene. I don't even think it matters whether or not we ever accually find out whodunnit. There MUST be military retaliation on the middle east, no matter if ornery piglets or jingoist muslims piloted those jets. You've also got to remember that this action was in the planning for possibly years. I can in no way see why a terrorist group would stop here. The US reaction is plausible, within certain bounds. You cant be sure that whoever did this wasnt planning something a little beyond that which we have seen thusfar. ------------------ http://sacstrat.ipfox.com |

As a veteran, I am outraged at the events of today. There will be Hell to pay for any group/faction that is associated with this attack. My prayers and thoughts go out to the families that are dealing with the loss of life that the attack has brought. Many people do not realize the magnitude of what just happened today. But the attack on Pearl Harbor will not even compare to the loss of life that today's events have impacted us with. Our problem is that we have no country as of yet to declare war against. Those responsible will find out that American pride is not the only thing that makes ammends(Cruise missles and ground forces will). I hope all that we will find the people responsible and be dealt with swiftly. |

I, too, want to add my sympathy and condolances to all who have been affected by this tragic event. But then again, I guess we all have. My wife, who had planned to go visit her family next week, is now afraid to get on a plane. America has suddenly become vulnerable. Pearl Harbor is no comparison. At least then we had a nation to declare war on. We now have only our anger and grief. More lives were probably lost today than in Pearl Harbor as well. Speculation will run rampant as to who is responsible. Like most everyone else, my first instinct is to blame middle eastern terrorists, especially in light of the infuriating celebrations being held there in honor of the loss of American lives. However, I would remind myself and everyone else, that we thought the same after the Oklahoma City bombing, and it turned out to be Americans to blame. I hope that no harsh action be taken just for the sake of taking action until the facts are truly known. But whoever did this makes McVeigh look like Mr. Rogers, and I hope that every individual who had a part in this is brought to justice and made to pay with their lives. What can we do now? Although it hardly needs be said, I hope that we will all pray to whatever god we each believe in for the families and friends of the lost, that those still alive in the wreckage can be found, that the perpetrators are found, and that when they are that they will be brought to swift justice without further loss of innocent life. For those of us present who do not believe in god(and I know there are a number here), please keep the victims in your minds and hearts. I hope we as a nation will honor their memory and mourn their loss, especially the hundreds of rescue workers who were still in the buildings evacuating as many people as possible when they fell. I also hear that blood supplies are extremely low, and that donors are desperately needed. I can't give for medical reasons, but I hope that all who can, will. I've talked long enough for now. God bless America. |
Just received a call about an hour or two ago telling me that my uncle, who lives in New York, is ok. Thats a relief. On the subject of war: war is not a good thing, and I sure as hell hope that the criminals can be brought to justice without more people dying in some war. Not only that, but I'm 18 years old, and if we go to war and reinstate the draft, then there's a chance that I could be slogging around desert mountains in the middle east (or wherever the war would be) being shot at, and to be honest, I don't really want to do that. Oh well, I just hope that when they finally catch the people who are responsible for this, they ignore the 8th amendment and pull a 1984 on their asses up until the point where they genuinely love America and think that all terrorists are horrible people just like us. Then we should turn them inside out over the course of a year while having them remain in perfect conciousness able to feel all the pain as it happens. Actually, laughing is just another response that some people have when facing really bad situations like this one. Its not that they mean anything by it other than that they're trying to cope with the magnitude of what's happened. Also, what jarbe said is a proverb which basically means that whoever has the last word in an argument or the last blow in a fight "laughs longest" because the other side is beaten and cannot fight back. TheMad ------------------ The light at the end of the tunnel has been shut down due to budget cuts. |
This is by far the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. George will want to impress people since hes the new president, and what better way to impress people then with revenge. I know that it would be overkill, but I think that we should flatten the whole middle east, screw the innocent civilians, we must kill them all, so this will NEVER happen again. Send in the nukes, I dont care, I want them all dead. All the middle east is good at is starting wars. Palestinians claim to be responsible, yet I'm sure iraq and Afghanistan are too. I just want to say a prayer to the thousands killed. ------------------ Creativity fuels divinity www.geocities.com/helgrador/Helly_pics.html |
They kill thousands of innocents, so in retaliation we kill millions of innocents. Who, then, is the bigger terrorist? A couple planes crashing into buildings is nothing compared to what you're suggesting we unleash upon an entire region of the planet. Think it through a little. TheMad ------------------ The light at the end of the tunnel has been shut down due to budget cuts. |
