Origionally posted by Johnyfire: I honestly dont think we have any thing to fear from germany, russia, australia, china, japan. OF COURSE YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR FROM US! We are one of your closest friekin allies!! ------------------ Creativity fuels divinity www.geocities.com/helgrador/Helly_pics.html |
China and Russia? I always thought our closest allies were Western Europe and maybe Australia. Its actually pretty important we get the support of the Chinese and the Russians on this situation because they are some of the largest military powers in the world. Also, if we were to invade the Middle East/Afghanistan/wherever, then it would probably be a good idea to make sure they they wouldn't get ****ed off, because they would be in a better position to fight back considering they're on the continent. I doubt that they would object or anything if we took action there. I mean, why would they care as long as we didn't threaten them in any way? I'm probably only saying this because I've just woken up and can't think straight, but I think we should invade Afghanistan, take it over, kick out those Taliban pieces of ****, and stick in some sort of more moderate democratic government and then while its getting started, keep occupying Afghanistan until they prove that the leaders won't abuse their power. Hell, while we're at it, we should find an excuse to invade the rest of the Middle East and then we should simply do that, then seize their oil fields. Then, just for fun, we would stick them all under Israel's rule and we would control the oil fields just to **** them off. That way we control the only thing that gets them any money and then stick them in the clutches of their worst enemy. Then, if there are any more terrorist attacks, we simply bomb some random city until we kill an equal or greater number of people ourselves. Anyways, pardon me if my previous idea was stupid. I'll probably regret saying it later. TheMad ------------------ The light at the end of the tunnel has been shut down due to budget cuts. |
TheMad i would have handed over my wallet also becuase i never keep more than 50 dollars in it hehehe but thats a easly avoided conflict. If the guy said im getting in you car, your gonna drive out to this remote location, then he says boy you got "pertty" lips, then he says dont feel bad i will give you a good burial how long before you start to lose it and fight. |
Uhm, pizza anyone? ------------------ Itīs raining outside... Iīve got a headache... Itīs cold... All the channels at the TV shows boring stuff... I am bored... The lightning may come and fry my computer... But Iīm not that lucky... All the cats have been outside... In the rain... One jump up in my lap... One in my bead... One over the keyboard... The only thing that is fun is the forum... But there is no one here... Itīs Swedish summer... |
So Johnny, do you think you could have made a difference if you were on one of those planes, being the action hero that you are? I doubt it....But it is nice to think that we would have done something to help out when the opertunity came, problem is that perhaps they never got the opertunity, except for the plane that went down in pennsylvania(they might have faught back). ...damn my spelling sucks.... ------------------ Single Player Sac-Maps: http://members.nbci.com/tenthoracle/sacmaps.htm Scapex-Working with Triggers http://members.nbci.com/tenthoracle/Triggers.htm Aliens & UFOs Among Us http://www.bright.net/~phobia [This message has been edited by Elrick (edited September 13, 2001).] |
Why didn't the people fight back? Here's my take on it. These guys definately changed the rules in hijacking. I cannot recall any instance where a plane was hijacked for the purpose of destroying it. Always before, there were demands and negotiations. Your best chance to survive a hijacking were to just quietly do whatever the hijackers told you because you were, after all, a bargaining chip. The hijackers needed you for leverage in the negotiations. I would imagine the passengers had similar thoughts. Had I been one of the planes, would I have resisted? Doubtful. I'd have done what I thought was the best thing for my own and everyone else's survival. And it would seem, so did those unfortunate souls on the planes. Those on the plane in Pennsylvania only fought back after learning via cell phone what had happened in New York. They quickly realized what was going on and knew they had to stop it. I hope I would be as courageous as them if I were in that situation. Please, let's not criticize the victims. |
looks like if we go to war we can dust off all this super powerful tech that these scientists are constantly making http://www.veforums.com/biggrin.gif if we find out who did this their country is gonna have one big hole in it! |
Hey, glad to see you Dark! Also, Osama Bin Laden is going down! TheMad ------------------ The light at the end of the tunnel has been shut down due to budget cuts. |
First off its not about how much of a hero i would have been, INFACT i probalby would have seen the flight attened get stabbed, i would have said im gonna go do something, i probably would have gotten my self stabbed in the process and died a minutes earlyer. When somebody tells you you are gonna die and call your loves ones you are gonna die and they are cutting up people you better dam well believe them. i dont say it cuz im hero like, infact the oposite. When you have nothing to lose you are dangerous, all of you are. |
