jsut listen to yourself. That last statement is almost funny, but more sad. Have you ever had somebody hold a gun to your head to where you were convinced you were gonna die unless you did as told? Have you ever had a knife held tightly to your throat? Have you ever watched as people were killed around you as an example of what would happen if you didn't listen? There is no need for the tough front right now and there isn't much "fury" when the majority of your blood is flowing out onto the floor...do you actually belief you are so much different from everyone else? Sure, we all like to think that we are different, but when we come down to it, we all live by the same basic emotions and instincts. It doesn't matter how much you've been preached to about what to do in a particular situation and is no way comparable to real first hand experience. When a real situation occurs, all bets are off. Unless you've had some form of training and know how to deal with foriegn terrorist, you may just end up getting a bunch of people or yourself killed. This is a sad time for those effected and not a time to try to boost your impression of what others think of you...be honest, you have no idea what you would have done. I'ld like to think that if I were on board, I would have done something to help, but I must also rationalize that fact that I don't know what I would have done until actually in their shoes. Dont you think that others or at least one person on those flights had the same idea? But when there are 3 to 5 terrorist perhaps even holding hostages, the situation is will always be very extreme and dangerous....there is sometimes a fine line between heroics and stupidity...choose carefully.
The plane that crashed in PA had a report of one cell phone call from a husband who said this, they are cutting the flight attendents and we are all shuffled to the back, they told us we are going to die but i think we are going to try something. Hence it didnt get to camp david. So if this report is true people did do it and i applaud them. I am no different than the people on that plane who did there best. Who knows how many lives they did save becuase of it.
When some one tells you you are all gonna die, then you are worried about you might die 5 minutes earlyer doesnt worry me. Not only that i have thought about shooting my self a couple of times and the idea for some reason doesnt really bother me to much, what really bothers me is shooting my self and i dont do it right and i turn out to be a vegatable.
Soon as you give in to somebody like that you lose every thing. Specialy if all they have is 4 inch knifes.

It´s raining outside...
I´ve got a headache...
It´s cold...
All the channels at the TV shows boring stuff...
I am bored...
The lightning may come and fry my computer...
But I´m not that lucky...
All the cats have been outside...
In the rain...
One jump up in my lap...
One in my bead...
One over the keyboard...
The only thing that is fun is the forum...
But there is no one here...
It´s Swedish summer...
OK, so far, they have found 3 Arab suspects, they had a flight manual in arabic also. If I were on the team searching for the bastard, he'd be riddled by so many bullets, they'd have to peel him off the bullets. That bastard deserves as gruesome a death as he can get. He killed thousands of civilians, there is no excuse for this. And to the Mm, you are a total idiot if you think this is just American pride. When america has attacked anyone, it has always been military targets such as AA guns, weapon facilities... This was a group of business offices with atleast 50,000 people in them, along with about 500 people on the airplanes alone. If this had happened anywhere else, I'd feel just as bad, attacking civilians is just wrong. I feel kinda sorry for you ignorant little mind... But if I were in one of the airplanes, I really don't know what I would do. I'm sure I wouldn't have done anything alone, but I would have gladly helped in any way I could.
But what makes it even harder for me is I'm too young to give blood, and I cannot get to New York to help. But it's reassuring seeing that there was a 3 hour wait at the blood donation centers, people really do care...

They WILL NOT get away with this.
9-11-01, 9:00 A.M. The World Trade Centre was attacked by a supposed terrorist group who had flown hijacked airliners into the twin towers and the Pentagon. May God be with those who died, were injured, and their families.

i still have a hard time understanding WHY somone would do this...simply because this is no mere terrorism. This has crossed the line...
How could ANYONE be so stupid to do this thing without some alterior motive or plan...
This may very well end up in a very, very large war against the middle east. I can see how some might desire such a thing.
Really, though...whoever did this was either insane, or something far, far worse.
The entire moral climate of the world has shifted...something enormous has to happen...either now, later, or in continual and consecutive conflits for years to come.
Johny, it really is different when you actually have a gun to your head. I remember I used to always think I would do something like fight back if someone ever held a gun to my head, but it actually happened. I was driving through Los Angeles when I was 16 years old and was at a stoplight with a bunch of other cars and some guy just ran right into the street, right up to my car, and pulled a gun on me and I was scared ****less and ended up giving him my wallet because that was all I had, and I'm not really a coward and don't usually back down to fights unless its totally one sided. It really is different.

No it hasn't mister "I'm one hell of a historian". A German U-Boat sunk an American vessel before World War II, the Revolutionary War, foreign competition in trade by blocking American boats, capturing American colonies, and an enormous range of other things that I don't feel like listing out of sheer laziness.
"We're gonna get the folks who did this."
"Whoever they are, they're going to be found and killed."
Showing anger toward a situation, that's usually what someone does when they have no other option of showing a strong influence, they just talk talk talk. You can even use me for example, once I lose I often state of how unfair the situation was; EXACTLY what America is doing now. Now go and think about that my poor sense of reasoning friends.

I agree...the logic seems a bit misplaced Mm-_-...Why are you focussing on what the U.S. is doing (wrong) now? What the hell do you expect us to do in a situation like this? Its not like we are fully prepared for this. Would any country really be? You seem to want to lean more on americas faults(which we have many) instead of the tragedy at hand....I don't understand.
And those things you listed sound more like things that were done to us, not that we did to others...Not that this matters anyways because those were war times which changes everything...we are not at war currently (at least not right now)...
I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!! Of course I sympathize with the tragedy at hand, but I can't believe that none of you knew that information about America being a dominant figure in other nations was being withheld from you! America has concealed everything that it has done except for that which has already been found out about, I suppose the plane that crashed in China was only for Americans to look into since it was their plane. So imagine what would happen if an Iraqi Jet crashed into the US and Iraq refused to let the US open it, is that fair? No, of course not. America takes control of its opportunity, sometimes in good ways, but I hate to say that they also do it just as often in bad ways.
