Acctually I do think that there is a possibility that this will lead to a fullscale war. Considering all the people worldwide that would love to see this happen, alot of people could join up against the west. And not to be forgotten, I have to say that I'm very sad for all the people in New York who died because of this. ------------------ #sacrifice @ irc.enterthegame.com |
omg...I am stunned and shocked. This shows that the US is not invincible and supreme. Most of the terrorist actions have been done outside the US in the past, this time (unfortunately) not. You cant do much about this as a goverment or country to prevent extreme fanatic organisations such as the Jihad for example from committing those horrific acts. As Blair (UK) said: terrorisme is the big evil in this modern world and it should be eradicated, but that wont happen as it's impossible to eradicate all violence. These things are a result of the mid-east policy of the US and the resistance of the perhaps too fast changing modern world (capitalism, technology, etc) for people in the mid-east countries that goes against their oh so conservative islamitic thoughts. The World Trade Center is (was) the symbol and center of modern western capitalism and the Pentagon of the supreme American military. By attacking those 2 symbols and taking the lives of so many innocent people (which is a goal and purpose of modern terrorism), those terrorists have made their points and ideas clear. I can barely relativize their believes and thoughts (I live in a Western counry), because of those horrific acts. Seeing Palestinians celebrating these events with big joy is understandable, but in my views unacceptable: innocent lives were taken. This case is very complex and I am sure more things will follow. My thoughts goes out to all the Americans, because this is certainly a black day in your country's history. |
i am shocked, although from england i am still shocked at all the innocent killed, and the fact that people in jerusilum are having street party's and are burning flags and celebrating like mad and are dancing in streets etc., makes me sick to think they they celebrate over the deaths of innocent people. ------------------ stop whining stop whining stop whining stop whining is it just me, who hears arnold schwerzeneggers voice saying stop whining? |
My thoughts to Americans involved |
i am shocked something like this really happened. |
The blackest day in my eyes is our president is a nimrod who limited stem cell research. The scientest already say 60 cells is not enuff. The possibilitys of this saveing more lives than what died today is great. Why care about this when our president him self says i dont care how many people we cure and SAVE, i condem you to die becuase im a idiot. f&*( all of you who even care about the people who died when the real problems are not being address. |
Yeah, I'd rather have anyone BUT G-Dub in charge now. Perhaps others can sense that. That doesn't mean the guilty (and probably quite some others) won't be punished, but he is an idiot. Supposing now is a good time to leave him be to do whatever he's going to do: after all, I wouldn't trade Nikes with him for all of his Daddy's money. ------------------ Questions are a burden to others, answers a prison for oneself. |
I just feel sorry for the family's and the people that died. Dunno really whats going to happen as a result of this but I hope the best..... |
Incase you wanted to know: NEW YORK (AP) - In one of the most horrifying attacks ever against the United States, terrorists crashed two airliners into the World Trade Center in a deadly series of blows Tuesday that brought down the twin 110-story towers. A plane also slammed into the Pentagon as the government itself came under attack. Thousands could be dead or injured, a high-ranking New York City police official said, speaking on condition of anonymity. Authorities had been trying to evacuate those who work in the twin towers when the glass-and-steel skyscrapers came down in a thunderous roar within about 90 minutes after the crashes, which took place minutes apart around 9 a.m. But many people were thought to have been trapped. About 50,000 people work at the Trade Center and tens of thousands of others visit each day. American Airlines initially said the Trade Center was hit by two of its planes, both hijacked, carrying a total of 156 people. But the airline later said that was unconfirmed. Two United airliners with a total of 110 aboard also crashed - one outside Pittsburgh, the other in a location not immediately identified. Altogether, the planes had 266 people aboard. "This is perhaps the most audacious terrorist attack that's ever taken place in the world," said Chris Yates, an aviation expert at Jane's Transport in London. "It takes a logistics operation from the terror group involved that is second to none. Only a very small handful of terror groups is on that list. ... I would name at the top of the list Osama bin Laden." President Bush ordered a full-scale investigation to "hunt down the folks who committed this act." Within the hour, the Pentagon took a direct, devastating hit from a plane. The fiery crash collapsed one side of the five-sided structure. The White House, the Pentagon and the Capitol were evacuated along with other federal buildings in Washington and New York. Authorities in Washington immediately called out troops, including an infantry regiment. The Situation Room at the White House was in full operation. Authorities went on alert from coast to coast, the U.S. and Canadian borders were sealed, all air traffic across the country was halted, and security was tightened at strategic installations. "This is the second Pearl Harbor. I don't think that I overstate it," said Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb. I think I should listen to foreigners comments about America more often. The most hated country in the world. ------------------ "Stop! >i am shocked, although from england i am still shocked at all the innocent killed My sentiments exactly. Although I have been in London (and within a mile of the bombs) during a few IRA attacks this is on a whole different scale. I feel for the famillies involved on both sides (retaliation will almost certainly kill innocents in the area attacked by the US). still in a state of shock now. |
