Very amusing, even for a non-tribes/CTF/whatever person like me. Worth it for the surreal beginning alone http://www.veforums.com/smile.gif

ITS NOT TRIBES!

It's the intro to a classic *cough* Sega game called ZeroWing.

The game's forgotten, but the mangled English of the cutscenes lives on...

Color Wolf February 16th, 2001 07:39 PM

The song is actually pretty cool.

Daeth February 16th, 2001 07:43 PM

I'm not going to say anything on the song/movie itself...*cough cough*whatthehellwasthat?*cough*

LOL It was a tribes thing too but thats a different story http://www.veforums.com/wink.gif

Your right though it's origins were from a bad translation of a japanese game brought to the states!

MAIN SCREEN TURN ON!!!

http://www.geocities.com/infinity_10...llyourbase.jpg

WHAT YOU SAY!!!!

(The interesting part is that when I first did this I messed up the trigger so that it *KEPT* casting volcano, cloudkill, and tornado as I stood around the marker area I had sent....It got interesting with like 20 tornadoes on the screen, and 20 volcanoes in the same place ... about 3 fps the whole time.... The entire area was raised up very high, with a sheer cliff at the side, and if you went to where the volcanos were, there was this deep, pitch black hole....)

LOL

Mr_Hoppy February 16th, 2001 08:59 PM

Yeah, I've done that before using scapex.
Funny thing is that in the crater you can get from the bottom to the top in a second beacuse it is so steep http://www.veforums.com/smile.gif
Also fun casting dozens of tornados in the same spot. The noise can get painful http://www.veforums.com/wink.gif

You thought that was bad? Check out these lines from Metal Gear for NES:

First, attempt to contact missing our Grey Fox!"

"I feel asleep!" <---Can you believe I didn't notice that until someone told me, even though I played the game about 40 times?

"I have loctaed some plastic explosive." <---Yes, it actually looked like that in the game, spelling errors and everything.

"Uh oh, the truck have started to move!"

The cover up story was that a 9 year old did the Japanese --> English translation.

I don't buy it.

Man that phrase "All your base are belong to us" is getting to lengendary proportions. This was talked about (even before the little movie) on the SA forums. Its spread like wildfire.
