How long does it take you to do a full compile of you levels? How long approximately does it take you to do a full compile of *.ed of approx 550k in size with these settings or similar [ ] Replace Textures [x] Apply Lighting[x] Import Geometry [x] Light Animations [x] Import Texture Flags [x] Shadows [x] Ignore Hidden [ ] VertexLighting [ ] Fix T Junctions [x] Lambertian Lmaps [x] ImportAIandMusic Vol. [x] Full Optimization [ ] Fast Approximation EXTRA PARAMETERS: -leakfile broken.lek -nosnapnocsg SLIDER REFERENCE: 50 OK I know you can’t give me an answerer to how long mine would take. However I would like to know how long your maps take of a similar file size and on what spec pc just to give me a general idea of length of time it takes to do. My system is Athlon 1.4GHz 768mb PC 2100 |
It should be compile not longer than 30 minutes or so.... If it took very long ..probably wrong detail settings! Walls, all walls that are outside walls...umm..yuo know...like a skybrush or walls sepereating a room from the outside should be detail 0..all else..like rocks, cars, columns etc should be detail 1 |

Cheers fritz forgot to set my detail directories to 1 detail don’t I feel stupid now. Some time u need some one to point out the obvious. |
