Jumpy Textures

All the textures in Sacrific on the creature and building models are jumpy. Does any one know why this is and how i can fix it?

I have a
AMD 700 Duron
128MB RAM
GeForce 2 MX graphics card

This is the way the game was designed. Get closer to structures and creatures and their textures and detail become bigger. Move further away, and their textures and detail become smaller. This is what often saves all of us from slow downs in the game.

Well, in my case it happens when I'm standing
still- surely that's not supposed to happen?
The geometry and textures are constantly
shifting (a *lot*), and I'm not even moving.
If I stand still sometimes they settle down
after 15 seconds or so, or sometimes they
don't. Really weird/frustrating. Also used
the latest drivers for both boards I tested
it with.

Win2k
Athlon 700
256MB RAM
TNT2 Ultra board (same thing happened with
a Voodoo3 3000)
DX8 (tried it with DX7 too)

TheFunk, the only time that should happen is when you have another application running in the background. These can be things like ICQ, Virus protection, Hard disk maintenance, etc. What happens in that case is that your machines CPU capacity is constantly changing. The game engine then adjusts the detail level accordingly.

Is it possible that you have other apps going?

Thanks.
