Just a word to you absolute hardware junkies out there: I recently picked up a Toshiba notebook (techra 8100) with the new s3 savage mx w/8mb vram. This machine runs Sacrifice great! Some features don't work, but what's there can run at 30FPS at 1024x768 (on a freakin' notebook!). The screen is beautiful. Much better than my Dell 7000.

Those of you with slower machines: don't worry, we're not tailoring the game for my notebook http://forums.voodooextreme.com/smile.gif . I just thought I'd mention this news for anyone in the market for a notebook that can run next-gen games well.

Also, it only weighs about 5.5 lbs (w/battery). I got the one with the 650mhz speedstep proc. Set to 500 (neat option), it still runs just fine.

Killer machine! http://forums.voodooextreme.com/smile.gif

I can't wait to see what Nvidia's NV11 mobile geforce chip can do. This S3 chip doesn't even have hw T&L and it still kicks butt.

Hmmmm, not familiar with the RageIIc. I'll have to look into it. Maybe Martin or Dan know. Anyone else know?

Was the IIc before the Rage Pro or after?

Thanks,

What ATI says....

http://www.ati.com/na/pages/technolo...e/rageiic.html

What some users say about it....

http://sysopt.earthweb.com/userrevie..._Rage_IIC.html

My opinion... don't have one. But from what I see... I *think* it's suppose to be the "Celeron" of Rage cards. Meaning, this card what created out of value more than technology.

As Poopsie says... anybody?

Danziger :^)

Luigi Grimaldi May 18th, 2000 03:08 PM

the IIC (it was actualy two strait lines I could not properly prodice on the forum) was after the rage part. I know that it has the power of a low 3d accelerator. I was told this by my brother and I have played some demos that need 3d accelerators.

Luigi Grimaldi May 21st, 2000 08:00 PM

The reason i asked was to see if it is worth saving my money for sacrifice. And i can't just get a new 3d card cuss the computers are technicly my dads. (I'm two yong to move out)
