GameFront Community Minecraft World

[PAL-18]

I own a 100 slot minecraft server for my gaming communty "For The Win" (running on its own dedicated server computer) and i'm offering a whole world with 40 slots dedicated to GameFront (Filefront) forum members.


- Another Minecraft update was released so the server is out of date again and will stay out of date until a stable version of Bukkit (server software) is released.

- If you updated and want to play on the server, you will need to downgrade to 1.5.1 with the following tool: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/...for-minecraft/



Anyone can connect (you can show off your creations to friends!), but only those who are whitelisted can use doors, chests, build/destroy, etc.

If you have a chest in your inventory, when you die, 100 random items are transferred to it at your death location (experience is dropped to the ground).

Creepers dont damage any blocks but they still damage players and mobs.

Chest Protection & Region Protection.

Multiple Chat Channels + Private Messaging and GameFront gets its own channel that only whitelisted GameFront players can access! To access the channel, say: /joinchan gamefront

Create: Bridges, Doors, Gates, Elevators, Hidden Switches, Light Switches, Minecraft Control Blocks and Minecart Changes.

Huge PVP world with 24 arena's.



Kits: /kit starter, /kit help

Chest Protection: /cprivate, /cpublic, /cpassword <pass>, /cinfo

Multi-World Homes: /home, /sethome, /listhomes, /rmhome <name>

PMs: /msg <name>, /reply <message>

Chat Channels: /chanlist, /joinchan <name>, /partchan <name>

World Traveling: /mvtp <worldname>, /mv spawn, /mvlist (to access gamefront world do: /mvtp gamefront )

Misc: /motd, /rules, /hat

Type /hat while holding a block you want to wear.

Create Bridges, Doors, Gates, Elevators, Hidden Switches, Light Switches, Minecart Control Blocks and Minecart Changes.




Fill out this form to get whitelisted. The form will only get you whitelisted on the GameFront world, if you want to get whitelisted on the FTW world, you'll have to fill out an application here too.

Note: Users who just joined the GameFront forums will not get whitelisted. You must either get another established member on the GameFront forums to vouch for you or wait a few weeks and post more on the GameFront forums.

Oops, i had "Receive Private Messages only from Contacts and Moderators" checked. I unchecked it.

Is it ok if i had official in the thread title, or should this world be considered a secondary choice to your server?

P.S. I also added all those names to whitelist

I dont think we can call any of them official, since we aren't GF staff.

And no, It doesn't matte to me, I was just picking up the bill so we could have a server, glad to see that a great one will take it's place.

I've got a few months prepaid on my server, when that runs out it will go offline. I'll upload all of the materials to it anytime someone asks.

Did we even build anything on the 'my' server yet? if not I'll shut it off now and save it for a mumble or something.

general_kerr, what's the world seed of the world? The export that Silberio made doesnt include it and as a result the seed changed and the world looks weird.

I set up the GameFront world to have its own nether (different nether from FTW world).

Nether is set to hard difficulty so get ready for a challenge. To make it a little easier, i added a safety bunker next to the world portal in the nether. It's encased in bedrock and there's a chest filled with different kinds of healing items that automatically restock every 15 minutes.

I'm going to try recreating the gamefront logo on the gf world. I used Brickify to convert the logo into pixels. But ill make it ingame manually.

Update: I finished it! Took me 4 hours though :S



EDIT: I just noticed the colors of the joystick aren't exact. it's because i was following the pixelated version of the logo and since there's no multiple shades of orange, i used yellow for the lighter portions.
