Most Annoying Game Characters?

We have all played a few games in our lives but what characters really deserved a kick to the face? Was it their voice? Their personality? Or did they just really piss you off.


Note: Making you angry is different from annoying.

Three of the worst ones I can think of...

Rosh Penin (Jedi Academy) (constant mouth full of cheese and stupidly arrogant words), Leah Cain (Diablo 3) (moody, irritating, and quite honestly mentally retarded on some occasions) and Vulgrim/Chronicle (darksiders) were just plain annoying.

When I was on my first playthrough I figured he'd try to kill me... before we even got to those stormtroopers.

I think there were a few people in KOTOR and KOTOR II that annoyed me pretty bad, but I cant remember their names.

Four come to mind.

-Rosh Penin, for reasons already laid out above

-Any of your "friends" on GTA IV, with their incessant desires to shoot pool, throw darts, and drink.

-Raiden, especially in MGS2

-The Annoying Fan in Oblivion. This was cancelled out by its ability to be rubbed out in terrible ways.

-Final Fantasy seems to be prone to this alot, Japanese RPGs in general. For me, rounding this out were Vanille from XIII and Tidus from X. This has probably something to do with their voicing though.

-Anything from Sonic after Knuckles

-Slippy from Starfox

-I liked Ocarina of Time, but man was Navi annoying.

-Baby Mario.

Might think of some later. It's hard to remember, and for good reason, since I've tried to forget these over the years. Interesting how a lot of mine probably come down to their voices more than anything.

I started playing Front Mission 3 again and even though it's an old PS1 game and the characters do not speak (dialogue comes in pop up boxes), the main character gets on my nerves all the time. Kazuki is his name and he can't take a joke, he's the most thin-skinned character ever. Anything another character says about him or his family results in an angry face and text.

I haven't played it in a while, but Rico from Killzone 2/3 was an awful character. Not only was he always angry in every cutscene, but he was also stupid. It was like his character was meant to be a stereotypical mindless grunt and steroid-abuser in a warzone, like he's the amalgamation of every bad character from the movie Platoon rolled into a single man jacked up on amphetamines. Rico was meant to be a 'good guy' in the series, but more often than not I wished the main characters could just join up with the Helghans and kill Rico just to get rid of him.

Definitely Raiden in MGS2 and Roman in GTAV.

Princess Peach is quite comfortably the most annoying character for me. She can't go to the shops for a pint of milk without getting kidnapped.
