You'll probably have to uninstall the game and then install it correctly. If the problem is just that you can't click "continue" when entering the third CD you could try changing your display resolution, alt-tabbing to the installer window or just hitting enter when the installer window is active.
it deleted everything that had to do with bf2, adjusted the resolution from 1366x768 to 1360x768. it did the exact same thing. do i need to lower it more or what should/can i do to get it working? thanks for the help ''MrFancypants'' !

How can you play the game if it's not installed? That's impossible. If you can play the game, it means it's installed.

If the game works and can be played, you can skip that.

Resolution? What resolution? You mean Desktop resolution? Resolution shouldn't matter. Besides, what exactly is the problem? First you said:

I'm confused. What exactly is the problem? Does the game work or not?
Btw, do you have a legal or pirated copy of the game?
i have the legal copy of the game. ok heres the situation,, i installed the game but the game installer did not finish.
i seached for files from the game and i think all of them were installed. i treid running the game and i works. so when i want to patch the game the patch doesnt find the installer folder. technicly the game is installed but the cp says the opposit. so i cant install the game correctly. hope it helped!

I'm still not sure what exactly happens when you put in the third CD.
Here are some more ideas:
-increase resolution further (1680x1024) or connect another monitor if the problem is that you can't reach the installation window
-uninstall, remove registry entries (make a backup of your registry) if any are remaining, maybe do a fresh installation for your operating system
-google if your OS has any problems with the Battlefield installer
-set the setup.exe on the CD to Windows XP compatibility mode and run it as administrator
-if nothing else helps download an illegal version of the game (please don't ask on these forums where you can find illegal games though) and install it with your legal CD key, that way you can make sure that CD3 is not broken
