exclaim EA's Failure - Why Warhammer Failed

I was reading this blog my friend gave me from an employ of EA-Mythic which goes into great detail about the process of making Warhammer online and working under EA. This may be just a disgruntled employ however I’m sure it’s true. Its basicly describeds working under people of EA....

Why Warhammer Failed

Hi everyone,

I would think myself to be part of some noble cause, like the original EA Spouse trying to save her husband from a hellish work environment at EA. That had a happy ending, however, with tons of publicity and a total change of overtime wages and salaries and how they are handled within the company. I do not expect a happy ending, so I’ll be personal and selfish, and this is just for me.

So just call me EA Louse.

I found out recently that I will be dismissed from Bioware Mythic during the next round of layoffs EA coming this November. I’m sick of seeing EA outsource their art and find every excuse to get rid of us and still not achieve anything. Mythic is dying, and its not us who killed him but we’re taking the fall....

.....
Why Warhammer Failed | EA Louse

Imagine you noticed some termites over at your neighbors house, and instead of warning him about it, you just burn down his house because of the slight possibility that those termites might someday move over to your home. That's the Eldar for you.-Aquila

So EA's company policies and work environment are no better than Activision's. EA's just been smart enough to keep quiet. Doesn't really matter. They'll still sell games because they advertise more than Indie companies. It's sad that the gaming industry is just a generic industry now where the goal is no longer to make good games but instead to make money.

It costs so much to make a game now, can you blame them? They can't just make a good game, they have to make sure it has not been done before (so basically not an FPS).

Read this rant on the TOR forums. Another former EA employee, among other people have responded to "EA Louse".

Basically, he's an arse hole with a big chip on his shoulder. Just Google EA Louse, and have a good read at the results.

True. I forgot about the cost of making games these days, but I'm just sickened by the state of the industry.

I've been reading the post and comments myself, and I myself am unsure about his statement, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were true.
