Just Cause 2 Demo

I know it's a little late, but I just got the Just Cause 2 Demo.
I want the full game. I love it!

If I get a retail copy, will it install to Steam?

Yup. Every copy of the game activates on Steam. There is also some DLC that came out a few days ago that I can't wait to get my hands on.

Well, the main story is only a few hours (but it lengthens cuz you have to cause chaos to unlock the next mission) but to get this game to 100% completion is going to take a LONG TIME

When I beat the game I was only at 33% completion

Re: Just Cause 2 Demo

I was actually let down, I was expecting a breathing world (like Liberty City from GTA IV era), instead, we get generic civilians who all look the same, and act the same. Plus you can't do free-roam high speed chases easily, since you have to slow down to make sure the enemy can follow you. The vehicles are way too fast, and having unlimited ammo is kind of annoying.

Not the game I was looking for, really nice looking game though.

Oh cool, I might buy a retail copy on Amazon so I won't have to download as much.

GTA doesn't have unlimited Ammo.

Oh hey, if I can run the Demo with everything at it's highest, would I be able to run GTA4 by any chance?

On the PC, not sure. From what I have heard, the PC port of GTAIV is considered 'broken'.

But if you are playing JC2 on the Xbox and also want to get GTAIV on Xbox, then you won't have any issues at all. ;)

Here's how JC2 beats GTAIV:
1. Grappling hook which basically turns you into a hispanic Spider-Man. :D
2. A map about 3 times the size of GTA: San Andreas
3. Airships
4. Planes
5. Grappling hook attacks

Need I go on? :)

I'm pretty sure all of the vehicles have unlimited ammo in JC2.

No, I'm playing the Steam Version.
I'm just wondering if I should try to get my copy of GTA4 running that I have on Steam.

It would probably be easier if you shared your system specs with us instead. :p
Or head here, though it's not perfect: Can You Run It

You'll rarely be using a vehicle for more than a single mission, and most of them are disposable. I never used any of them long enough to notice they had unlimited ammo, as I generally ditch them after reaching my destination or completing my objective.

If you already have it bought, I say go ahead and try it. Judging from the various forum posts, GTA IV seems to have performance problems on all systems, some more than others, but there's no harm in trying.

I'll have to split it into 4 sections on my satellite.
Would it be worth it to just buy a $10 disk, anybody?

For GTA IV?

I paid $50 for it, and it was without doubt some of the worst video-game spent money ever. I only played it for a few hours before realizing this is the best game ever, but only on gameplay videos. In reality it's inferior to previous GTA games in every way, boring as hell and rather unwieldy for some reason. A lot of people list graphics as a groundbreaking thing but come on, San Andreas blew our minds when it came out too.

Yes. Amazon.com: Grand Theft Auto IV: PC: Software

Hell absolutely no. It really isn't that great a game in my opinion once you get over epic graphics and epic ragdolls.

I'll probably just wait until I get some good internet.
And then GTA V will probably release.
