Sacrifice woes

I just started playing sacrifice about a week ago. When I first saw it, I thought it was the sh*ts. Too complicated for me. That was when the game actually game out. Then just recently I started playing it and now I think it's the best thing sinced sliced bread. But NOW I'm having doubts. It seems that there's a basic formula for beating every level in single player. Just get the enemy's souls any ways necessary. One case would be to guardian a manalith outside your altar and let all the attacking units get wasted. Another would be to build up your strongest units and let them drag behind you. Then when you meet up with the enemy, let them cluster f*** with them and hope that they don't get whooped. If they do, just pause and heal, pause and heal. Maybe all I'm hung up on is the AI, which really isn't too brilliant. I've gone through all of pyro, persephone, and james without being too hindered. Possibly multiplayer would be much better but I wanted to get the hang of single player first before I ventured into that neck of the woods. If anyone disagrees with this or can feel where I'm coming from, please post. 333

I know what you mean. The AI of the game isn't too great, and therefore, I didn't even start using the paper\scissor\rock strategy before AFTER beating the SP. I'm trying to make some challenging SP- levels though, where the AI combined with triggers might be smarter than in the campaign.

Oh, and

Welcome.. to the real world...

The AI does indeed suck muchly. So play online. That's where Sacrifice really is. It's the first game I've played online consistently since I was in a TFC clan.

SP sux although the story is great and funny. The AI is VERY bad indeed.

I bought this game for multiplayer so I was never disappointed except by illuminatus

Fusil's speaking in tongues again.

I loved the SP campaign, I played it every day for four weeks! I couldn't get enough! The voice acting was superb, and it's just so satisfying to come back from having 5 souls to taking down 3 guardianed Phoenixes. Voice acting was superb....aww the memories. It was a bit easy compared to playing against a real person, though.
