Viper II Problems (as usual)

I bought Sacrifice several days ago and (like many other buyers) have been unable to play it for longer than 3 minutes at a time.
It keeps crashing either back to windows or stalling with the music still playing. It also crashes back to win98 when I try and access the options form the main menu.

My system is as follows :
Windows 98 SE
Intel Celeron 500MHz (running @ 66MHz BUS Speed)
128Mb SDRAM (running @ 66MHz BUS Speed)
Shuttle AV14 Motherboard (Via 133 Chipset)
Viper II Z200 (Running @ AGP 4x)
24x Diamond cdrom drive
30GB IBM HD
6GB Quantum Fireball HD
Soundblaster Live Value
DX 8.0
NO OVERCLOCKING
NO BACKGROUND APPS RUNNING

I have spent countless hours ensuring that my system has all the latest drivers and Bios' for my hardware and motherboard/VII.
The VII driver is :
File Date: 12/17/2000 8:56 AM
Company Name: S3 Incorporated
File Version: 4.12.01.9015-9.51.12
Driver: savage2k.drv
(I have also tried using the 5.03 & 51.11 drivers as suggested with no benefit)
