Charnel Boon Level 5
 

I am replaying the single player campaign again as Charnel's wizard. My problem is that no matter what I do, I can never get the boon from Charnel at the end of Mission 5. I know that Gangrel/Astaroth must survive, and he always does, but Charnel will STILL not offer the boon. Yes, I left Abraxus alone and banished Yogo. Has anyone else already played through this and know what to do???

I don´t think you get a boon. At least I didn´t.

It's possible to get a boon in every level of every god's mission. Go to www.strategyplanet.com/sacrice There is a whole section on God's Boons and the page will tell you what you have to do in order to acquire one.

i always thought that you got a boon from only the first five missions... a sort of a booster thing...

say, do the boons carry to the multiplayer thing aswell?

I have the same problem.
Even killed of Yogo once BEFORE the demon was summoned. :P
Nothing seems to help. After having finished the level 20 times by now, it really gets stupid (, ok I am stupid, too :P).

I THINK I have the answer to this. If I am right, then this is an error on Shiny's part.
If you open up the level 5 Charnel mission in Scapex and look at the boon, then you will see that in order to get the boon, "Gangrel 52" must be alive at the end of the mission. However, according to what I looked at in Scapex, it is not Gangrel, but Astaroth who is actually present at the end of the level (who Gangrel transforms, or whatever, into).
I tested this by changing the Edit Triggers of the boon in Scapex to look for Astaroth instead of Gangrel. Sure enough, Charnel appeared and granted me the boon.
So, is this a mistake on the part of Shiny, or are some of us not doing something right on this mission?

Sometimes a boon can be recieved before the fighting starts. For example, Persephone will offer you the help of Shakti on a mission to slaughter Buta. If you choose to do it yourself, you will recieve a boon.
