i agree, rings of fire is the most useful of the hold spells IMO as not only does it slow and prevent healing like the other hold spells, it does some good damage too. Much more versatile and until patch 3 you can track which way the dead wizard is going heh |
pfff, rings of fire is useless against someone who has rainbow.. You can still heal yourself with rainbow even while the rings are on you... Slime or vines on the other hand are a lot scarier.. |
Interesting point about rainbow...I've never had the pleasure of playing persephone vs. pyro. As for rings of fire...assuming your opponent has a pretty good shield that he keeps on regularly, try ringing one of his manahoars and focusing your pyromaniac attacks on the wizard. If the wizard is running around, a good number of the rockets will miss but hit the manahoars. And when the first manahoar dies, the wizard will have to stop and back up to collect the soul, making him more vulnerable to further rocket attacks. Once his manahoars are gone he will be unable to heal himself rings or no rings and you will toast him. Also, if he tries to create another manahoar, the instant he is standing still to summon he will be vulnerable to the rocket attacks. I've been on the receiving end of this and it sucks. |
Thanks for the new idea SgtHulka, as a newly converted avatar of Pyro, I'm glad to hear new and fresh ways to incinerate my Lords opponents. BoBo |
when they repair heal in Patch 3, we'll see just how much Rainbow saves you from the Rings. |
I prefer ice. It has a nice reload and takes effect rather quickly. It completely disrupts spells (fun for people making manalithes without shields!) unlike vines or slime. |
Whenever I play as Pyro, its a top priority to cast ring of fire on the wizard when he doesn't have a shield on... Dragonfire is normally a good start off. By how much does RoF slow a creature down? I never really payed attention. ------------------ -Laziness is nothing more than resting before you get tired. |
