Anyone good at (3) Gladiator here?

Ok, I get my rear consistently kicked on this map. No matter where I go, I either lack experience or souls and someone just comes along and kills me pretty easily.

So, anyone got any good strategies for this map?

My standard Gladiator plan:
Make one manalith. Clear the fallen from the second manafount and build another manalith there. Set all creatures to guard the manalith and rush to the center if nobody else has; get the blue souls and lead Astaroth in the direction of somebody else's manalith. Let him kill my wizard if that's the only way I can escape without bringing him. Go back and turn to the styx on the left or right (whichever is least likely to receive interference from another player), and take it out with lightning (because my three frostwulves won't defeat it by themselves). Go for an unoccupied corner manalith and take the blue souls and deadeye. Take the other nearby styx and corner manalith if nobody else has. Build many ranged units and go after the hellmouth (or the guy who's built lots of fliers because he had to fight Astaroth). Hold off opponents until all souls are converted. Destroy opponents.

make sure you get the hell mouth and the blue souls... I hope you can figure out a decent way to do this on your own. If not, I'll post how to do awesome here

My favorite map. I usually let someone else get slaughtered by the hellmouth/astaroth in the middle...i just come by later and pick up the pieces...

I dunno why it's my fav map. Maybe because you're fighting in a big crater...no escape!

Usually, what I do is build the first lith, then rush the middle. Telling my hoars to stay back I just speed up and take all the blue souls, then wait for that big scythe thingie to go after me. I run towards one of the opponents (better to go for the more experienced one) and set the bad meanie on his ass.... If it's the first time he sees this trick, he'll curse your mama and her mama for quite a while... extremely funny...

Dun mean to change the subject here...but you know the E3 scenario in the game.HOW IN HELL DO YOU BEAT THE DAMN RAGMAN?!?!?

I cant ever beat the hellmouth...It just keeps slaughtering my creatures slowly.Then theres the abominations.They do overkill on my guys.HOW DO YOU DO IT?!?!?

Anybody got some strats for it?I beat it once though.....took me 2 hours..

~Oh and I'll try the gladiater map this weekend.
