just an idea for the 'new god' thing...
 

Maybe instead of making a new god, maybe this could happen:

After Marduk was slain by Eldred, the gods started to piece themselves back together. Unfortunately, they were not able to completely become whole again. Each god is split into 3 different parts. So like when youre in the ethereal realm and you go into one of the statues you are taken to another mini-room with 3 portals in it.

The sub-gods would be similar to the whole god but they each focus on something specific. Like Persephone's sub-gods could be this:

Freya: This sub-god focuses on flying units and spells that disrupt/slow down/stop enemies.

Demeter: This sub-god could focus on big tough ground units and the spells could be like for hurting things mostly, like big damage spells.

????: Don't really know about this one....


Charnel's sub gods could be:

Hades: focuses on units and spells that gradually leech health or mana away from the targets.

????: Not sure for name, but this one could be about terror/fear. his/her units mainly try to make the enemy as least able to fight as possible by scaring them and making them trembling and immobile.

????: again, not sure on name but this one could be about direct damage. spells could be like wave of death, which shoots a nearly invisible stream of lost souls that damgages and knocks over anything in its path.


And by the way, if one of these sub-gods will let you take a level for them they all will within that god. So if youre on a level where you can go with persephone, all of her sub-gods will be open for you.

This idea might be crappy, but its just a thought.

Actually I think that sounds pretty good.
A nice way of incorporating all the ideas that we've seen on the forum over the past few months.
Only Prob would be that 15 new gods would require a whole huge game and not just an expansion.
Unless there are less levels or the basic design of the game changes.
