Awesome Artillery
 

I'm in love with the artillery pieces in this game. I have no idea how a cannon actually looks when it is firing, but just playing around with the different cannons and the rocket launchers is awesome. I especially love the shrapnel rounds fired by some of the cannons and, of course, the rocket launcher.

So who else loves the artillery?

Artillery is fun, but a bit difficult to use. With the early technologies they don't have much of an effect, so then I'd rather take infantry or cavalry instead.

Later on, with explosive or grape-shot they can rout an enemy unit with a single volley, but even then they often end up as target for a cavalry charge.

Like everything, it takes practice to get used to using:P The round shot may seem poor, but if you set it up right, you can be bouncing cannon balls down their lines as they advance :)

artillery is cool.. but you need a lot of practice to get used to it..
