Question Fallout 3 Screenshots Won't Save

I'm using Vista Ultimate and the game is fine but when i hit print screen it says 'screenshot screenshot01.bmp created' at the top left of the screen and it keeps going up in number but the file's aren't actually being created in the game folder, or my documents.

All i get is the single shot saved to clipboard by windows, other games such as Farcry 2 work great for screenshots but not Fallout it's very annoying

Anyone had a similar problem?

It has something to do with Vista and UAC I think, not sure on all the details, Im sure someone else around here can fill you in on it.

Anyways, an easier way I find is to just use Fraps, it works with all games and you can do more than just screenshots, you can also take video and show frames per second, its very useful and quite simple to use, give it a try if you haven't already.

Yeah Fraps is good but i wanted to get the System thats actually built into the game going because it's easier.

Eventually i managed to find out what was wrong though, the folder was Read only and although i'd tried to change that a couple times it hadn't kept the changes because i'd not gone through the right hoops for Vistas super security.

For people with the same prob......
Right Click the folder
Properties
Security
Edit
Make sure to select your user name from the list
Then tick Write

Works good now, and i fully intend to fill my drive with beautiful Fallout3 Shots
