The Force Unleashed

I have recently purchased a copy of Dark Horse's graphic Novel, TFU.

I will not reveal spoilers, but the history of the Original Trilogy is started in this book, and hence the game.

Read it or play through the game and you'll know what I mean.

'Nuff said.

For you people who got it, and played it: What do you think of it thus far? do you like it? or no. I personally like it very much.

Only had the chance to play the PSP version, it was oodles of fun. Though I did wish for the fancy physics engine I missed out on. I guess Ill wait for a PC release and play it again.

Someone told me that it's limmited to what you see in the Demo and it's only about 8 hours or 8 chapters long.

I woulden't count on it. Lucas Arts is going console and Pc Gamers are going to be left in the dust.

Haven't played the demo, so I can't answer that. But yes, the game is short. I'm playing through it a second time with all the cool force powers unlocked, and fancy clothes.

Even if they would port it, the game itself seems to be designed to be played on the console. I wouldn't bother with it. The physics look nice, but I still prefer the saber combat in the old Jedi Knight games.

Well, today I was at the mall and saw some kids playing it for the wii. I have to admit, it looked frustratingly easy. Of course, the kids were loving swinging the controller around and using force lightning non-stop. It was, unfortunately, a very straight-forward hack-and-slash, like you couldn't even run off the cliffs, there were invisible barriers protecting you everywhere. It was the kind of game kids would absolutely love for the sake of being able to win without too much trouble by just pressing the lightning button over and over again, with the occasional light saber slash. But yeah... I'm pretty sure that if I were playing it, I could've beaten the thing in a much shorter time, which, no doubt, would piss me off.

If you like mindless hack-and-slash games, or if you just like swinging the wii controller for fun, or you're a little kid, you'll probably like the game, but if you're the type that prefers strategy or skill, you'll be disappointed... I was... >_>

A pity it would seem. I played it on the DS for a few moments. It wasn't what I would call exhilarating but it definitely showed how much more Nintendo could actually push the capabilities of the DS. With the kind of graphics it had on the DS, it was like playing Dark Forces 2 with a different story, scheme, mechanism, controls etc. It was fun for 10-15 minutes then I got bored.

I hope against hope that a PC version is made and that it is improved upon so that PC gamers actually have a good game rather than something that is simply meant to be 'all fun and no challenge' at all.

Put the game on sith master then tell me if it's easy.

I enjoyed this game alot I'm playing it for the second time but I skipped the three level difficulties after unlocking sith master. Playing it on the hardest level makes the game more harder and makes you use your brain.

Seriously, theres a fine line between apprentice and warrior, let alone MASTER, apprentice I like to say is basically "Your practically invincible, enemies are stupid, have fun, don't make a mess"

It's that easy
