Madden 09: Great Game? Or Great Bust?
 

I know that Madden 09 is supposed to be the entire "Redemption" year for EA sports and it has 89 new features and its all over the place. Heck theres even an advertisment above what i'm posting right now!
But Im Just wonder what everyones thoughts are on the game if they have it or if there going to get it or what not.

I will be, but because I have a friend who's a big time football fan that I want to crush in yet another game. ;)

I haven't played it yet, but if there is anyone else that has, could they say if it's worth it or not or just another madden game?

Madden has always just been another Madden game. It's the same game released annually.

Worst. Franchise. Ever.

Well I was hoping they changed it more because people say it looks more like NFL 2k5 now.

I looked into the latest Madden, but when I found out there's no PC version I lost interest. This is what GameSpot has to say about Madden NFL '09 for the Xbox 360:

The Good

• Cris Collinsworth's commentary is superb
• Backtrack feature breaks down exactly why a play failed and rewinding lets you try again
• Formation audibles allow you to change plays without tipping your hand
• Vastly improved visuals
• Tight controls and varied player animations.

The Bad

• Quirks and glitches hamper otherwise solid gameplay
• Superstar and Franchise modes have received almost no attention
• Madden IQ feature isn't as helpful as it claims to be
• Tom Hammond and John Madden's voice work is poor
• Online leagues are a huge letdown.

ESPN NFL 2K5 has always been better in my opinion. Madden 08 is the only one who is close to being as good.
