icon_question Best Freelancer mods

Hi,

Can you suggest me a good Freelancer mod? CrossFire seems very advanced, incorporating the features originally promised, but I'm looking for something that has an engaging storyline-driven campaign like the original game. Continuity would be even better.

Thanks.

Molu

Discovery Freelancer: Really indepth history of Sirius, and a constantly evolving storyline. As for features, there are plenty of new weapons, around 150 ships, 70 systems, and they all maintain the balance of of the original game. It's basically what the game should have been like if they had the resources.

Just be aware that the main server is dedicated to role play (No senseless PvP). I absolutely loved it, spending hundreds of hours on their server, but I was IP banned back in March for calling someone who stole 30 million credits from me a "damned idiot". Just be sure you read the rules.

FreeWorlds: While the player base isn't huge, it's another high quality mod. There are around 270 ships to fly from the Star Wars universe. One of its strengths is the combat system. Everything is "realistic" from minimal shielding for fighters to logical cargo space (Think A-Wing being able to carry six warheads or a prisoner or two).

This signature unintentionally left unfunny.

It does, but there's precious little point to much of it. It's only really got merit if you're playing in a populated roleplaying server.
