Call of Duty 4 or Company of Heroes?
 

I need help, I'm getting a new hard drive soon upgrading from my puny 80gb and will be getting some new PC games. One of them is Battlefield 2, the next one will either be COD4 or CoH. I haven't played these yet and was wondering if I could get some feedback on which is better. Thanks!:cya:

It depends what genre of game you want. CoD4 is a first-person shooter (fine one at that), CoH is a WW2 real-time strategy game.

Comparing the two is illogical, they're squarely in different genres.

Kouen is quite right, you can't really compare the two. I've often heard both as being placed at the top or near the top in their genres though. I can only vouch for CoD4 being an incredible game, as I haven't played CoH yet. It sounds really good though so it's up to your own personal taste.

Since you're already getting a modern combat FPS (BF2), go with CoH, a WW2 RTS. :D

I'd only buy BF2 for Forgotten Hope 2 anyways, so really your buying a WWII FPS

Ok, I didn't realize that CoH was a stratagey game, I hate those. I think I'll go with CoD4. Thanks everybody!

Call of Duty 4 is great, the action is intense and paired with the incredible environmental graphics you really get immersed in everything, a return to form for the developers and their best work since the original (not to mention a refreshing break from the Second World War). There are some cinematic masterpieces tossed in there too, some of them moving in different ways - I won't give the plot away but there's one such moment fairly early on in the game. Apparently multiplayer is fun too, but I haven't tried it. It's well worth the cash, although I'm not sure if you'll replay it afterwards or not.

I haven't played CoH so I couldn't help you there.

CoD4, I know its great, though I hear CoH is pretty good
if you want WW2 FPS, go with Brothers in Arms

hmmm, its a tough decision. but if you looking for an awsome rts game, COH ftw, a kind of fast paced cinimatic game, COD4.

I don't like real time strategy games either, but I do like CoH. Sometimes it gets very frustrating, but otherwise, the general gaming is pretty good. The graphics aren't necessarily top-notch, but they're pretty advanced.

Can't speak for CoD 4, never played it.

COD4 is loads of fun and anything else you'd want in a game. That's it. GOTY, Period!
