Interesting find.

I'd say the weirdest way would be a physics error like being caught in the plane of a wall [a clipping error i guess is what you'd call it].

I've not seen any friendly fire in video games, that'd be a weird way to go.

Preparing to toss a plasma grenade when a Grunt runs straight into you and you plant the grenade on his head instead of tossing it away. With the stupid thing stuck to you.

Assassin's Creed: Killed by being pushed by an enemy into an area that the main character can't remember.

Crysis: Killed by touching a dead body(I think this was fixed with the latest patch, though).

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Killed by loading the last save game. There were no enemies nearby, and my health (and armor) was full. I was simply standing by a wall when I saved the game. As soon as I loaded it - "Game Over."

Just about every FPS: Death by crotch shot.

Half-Life 2 Deathmatch with gravity guns...in fact...the onscreen notifier for a gravity gun kill is a toilet to the head.

in cs:s de_dust 2 stand near the double doors, throw a grenade but throw just on the narrow part of the door instead of the opening of teh door, grenades returns right in you face and BANG!

I stick by my belief that the deaths in the Atari E.T. game are certainly the worst . . .

I was hiding behind someone in Battlefield 2 once (reloading), someone shot them in the face, for some reason, it went through their head and killed me. They lived and I didn't.:mad:

Death by Giant Blue Gorilla-Hulk Ultimate Destruction
this doesn't happen to you (The Hulk) but its fun to do to army soldiers

GTA IV: Smash the front of the car, get thrown through the windscreen, smash your head and then get ran over by your own car.

God, that happens to me all the time. I hate when that happens.

I remember this part in Jedi Outcast in the last level I think it is, where there's these three paths in a room. Two are literally dead ends.

One of them looks like just a simple dead end, but you die if you go too far.

The other, which scared the shit out of me the first time, looks like a mirror. You see yourself (Kyle) in the reflection. If you stay there to look, Desann jumps out from behind you and kills you.
