Default Most graphically intense performance hogging game

As the title says. What is the most graphically intense performance hogging game out there? I think it's Crysis, but I haven't been up to date with the gaming world though. I tried googling it, but those were outdated. If there's an up to date article on some performance test on these high-end games, a link would be nice.

my vote goes to crysis. as i have read that even the best spec pc cant run it on very high setting with everything maxed out yet. we will have to wait maybe a year before that can happen.

Actually, I don't think it is Crysis. While it pushes your system a lot the game still looks great at lowerish settings.

Oblivion however, makes little to no use of multi-core systems and looks crap at any resolution below 1280x1024 and textures on high. Even on the medium settings it still lags like hell.

Crysis is by far the best looking (released games, not unreleased) but it is failry well optimized.

Oblivion still kills computers because the engine isn't as good.

As for all games in general, FarCry 2 and Alan Wake look incredible.

I thought so too. So even today's latest hardware can't run Crysis on max settings. What hardware is the limiting factor? Is it the graphics card only?

Everyone's gonna say Crysis, but I think ArmA is. ArmA can't be run maxed, maybe in the deserts, but if you're in a forest you'll get 5 fps.

So many games! Now I can't decide which games are the #1 computer killer

Someday... when i build a gaming rig. I want it to be able to handle it on max settings on a 42+" hdtv flat screen lol. As of now, it's best to wait till the newer video cards are out.
