On another note, how long do you think it would take, with the proper software (if such software exists) to create a couple of scenes for a game in the same style as FFVII? I'd put it at about a year, making FFVII itself must've taken hundreds of thousands of man-hours.

I think they actually managed to improve on some of the originals as well as completely change the feel of others, without compromising on the quality of the music. The remix of On Our Way ("Ahead On Our Rave") is probably my favourite.
