Mass Effect 1.

I'm playing on Hardcore as a renegade soldier. I forgot how difficult it is to use your weapons because of those reticles growing until it fills up half the screen.

I'm pretty sure I did exactly that not more than a month ago...

It is difficult at first but once you get about half way through the game it gets to be absurdly easy. Even on insanity, the only problem I ever encountered was the Krogan.

WALKING IS A BEACH. Seriously.... Plus quests are some distance away from the fast travel spot, map doesn't show where you are, you only have the glowing trail to follow to the quest destination really....

I like the evolution thing too, although I would like it if it had evolution trees, that would be awesome. Like, a 3-5 tier-ed unique evolution tree FOR EACH UNIT. Wouldn't it be awesome if you could evolve an Ultralisk into an 'Ulti-lisk'.
I just hope it doesn't cost an arm again though. Looking forward to continuing the campaign.

And whats the deal with human-looking queens now? Infested-adjutant I get, but zerg queens look totally different now... I guess its to give them a way of communicating or relating into a leader-type role?

Yeah I switched out a phasic round with armor piercing and I found it a lot easier.

I would rather do more damage instead of passing through shields.

also what class were you in insanity? I don't like playing the same class twice.

Playing a little bit of Bad Company 2. Been a while, and I haven't actually tried it out with this new monitor. Pretty awesome, if I do say so myself.

STALKER SoC. Getting my ass kicked by these army guys all the time. I'm thinking i should have went with a lower difficulty level for my first play through.... Oh well, still great fun though! I can take them fairly easy if i use every single bit of cover i can find and only lean out to shoot.

Soldier. I could sit there and just lay into the Krogan with my assault rifle and it would only whittle away at his health... then he would fall over and activate immunity, making him even more impossible to kill... at that point I resorted to pushing them off the edge with either biotics or high explosive rounds

on insanity, are guys with shields immune to biotics. I remember in mass effect 2 that men with shields or armor were immune to biotic powers.

I think so, though I didn't use biotics at all in my last playthrough so I'm not entirely sure. I need to do another playthrough on Insanity, but I can't make up my mind whether to be an adept or engineer...
