Bug Class A Hi All :cya:Was wondering if anyone could help? I am having a fatal error with Neverwinternights 2, that causes the game to jump to winows while loading a module. It occurs at point when the game is loading a module, then stops loading, exits to windows then produces a send don't send error. I am afraid I don't know what the module is called, but it occurs in Part 2, after defeating the chap who is trying to call a god to him. He dissappears and then you have to talk to an elf called vale who then is supposed to take u back to neverwinter. The game loads an animation of four priests re appearing with blue fire round their heads. It then starts to load the next module, but stops due to the error. The game is updated to the latest version, and I have tried various graphics settings etc. My System specs are: Pentium 4 3ghz 2mb cache 1.5G DDR 160 Gig Sata HD GeForce 7600 256mb cache OS:WINXP PRO Sp2. No problems with overheating or other games, etc. I was gutted as I have just started to get a decent character with a bit of omph and a big sword. Any ideas would be apprieciated. Has this happened to anyone else? Or is it just me? Apart from this eror cracking RPG allround :bows:!! Thanks in advance Shadey!!;) |
ok .. when it errors, what is the exact error you get ? numbers or anything ... |
Hi Merrick Error is game exits to windows and says " We are sorry but neverwinternights 2 has exprienced an error and needs to close" with the options send don't send. The log file it produces in notepad is massive, too big too be posted. There are no useful or obvious error codes, and it seems to do it whatever the games settings are. I have even redone the previous lvl of the game to see if any actions or choices I make affect it, but the error reoccurs at exactly the same point! Cheers Shadey :assimilate: |
ok shadey ... when this happens, it is usually something to do with a drivers issue. Something happened to poke it in the wrong direction.... Have you tried to update all your drivers ? Is the module a downloaded module or an official module .... This could also have something to do with it. |
Hi Merrick Thanks for reply. Drivers are all latest ones, as I tried that line of thinkin.it is an origonal game module..I haven't put any levels or mods on it yet...Thanks for the help though Cheers Shadey |
Ok shadey. The only thing i can think of at this point and time would be a file that was loaded that is corrupted post install... As it is happening at the same juncture each time, it could be a scratch on the disk. Have you checked to a scratch, if so, you may want to go to the " other route" and try installing from another " drive" after mirroring. Have you reloaded the game then installed your saved game files ? |
