way to begin then with an Adventure thread.

Recently I've completed 'the longest journey' again and am now playing 'Dreamfall' (both great games) and

I was wondering what you guys think are great adventure games which I should deff. play. Do you even like

the genre or hate it from the bottom of your heart?

I love adventure games (preferably RPG), but if you have a playstation I would recommend Final Fantasy 7 and 9, but if you want new stuff I would recommend Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon for 360. They Rock. (Eternal Sonata is muti-player for battles you set what player is what character by going in the menu I got the demo.

For the PC , FATE is a good game, and it doesn't require that great of a PC either. It's pretty good, and even if you beat it, playing it again is still fun as it creates a random dungeon again, so the game is not repetitive and the quests are a bit different too.

This is a partial list of "classic" adventure games that are still as good today as the day they were released. these are for the p.c

Grim Fandango
Broken sword series
Monkey Island series
Gabriel Knight series the last one was okay in my book.
Orient Express
Black Dahlia
Zork grand inquisitor
Myst series-If that's your kind of thing
I never knew whatever happened to "Starship Titanic" the adventure game made By Douglas Addams( Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy author) anybody here knows what happened to it!? Terry gilliam was also one of the voice actors in that game.

These are all true adventure games you pick up something for a puzzle to move on, You don't gain xp. And above all, there are only rare or scant combat sequence involved whatsoever!!!. That to me is the true definition of an adventure game.
