ETA

Greetings

I am curious to know if there is any defined ETA for sacrifice to go gold?

Being a hardcore gamer for quite a few years now (it all started with an old atari) i must say that the screenshots that i've seen for your game and the several previews that i've read have impressed me and awaken some excitment in me.. I normally tend to keep reservations on upcoming games simply because no game has ever lived its hype.

The screen shots i've seen where impressive but one thing seemed to stand out... the screenshot i saw was of a vast army of lizardman walking down a hill towards some sort of tower.. now all the lizardman looked exactly the same and were exactly in the same position, i was wondering if it would be possible to randomize somehow the looks of the units or at least their leg and arm positions. just to give a more living look to the game.

regards and congratz on the apparently great game you are developing. looking forward to see this baby grow.

Thanks Nuno.

Most games of Sacrifice use a much greater variety of the 60 different cast-able creature types. That screenshot was a bit anomolous in that respect. http://www.voodooextreme.com/forums/smile.gif

The ETA for the game is sometime this year. That's as specific as I can be for now. We will be giving more detailed info at E3 and when the April issue of IncitePC hits the news stands.

Thanks,

That screenshot i mentioned was from incite pc april edition (the one with a half naked julie strain on the cover) it is a 2 page screenshot. I been trying to locate the player's character in the screenshot but i cant seem to find it.. is the mage in the screen?

the wizard is far away on a hill just to the left of the center of the shot. He had to be close enough to cast the eruption occuring on screen. The view was then pulled out quickly with our - developer only- free flying camera to get the best view of all the action.
The shot is somewhat misleading in that a large group of characters have various idle stances that they cycle through when standing still, so if for some strange reason you did have twenty of the same creature ( like in the shot) they would not all be identicle at the same time while the game is running.
poopsie set up the shot, but i felt like barging in and acting like i did it.

You prolly did a better job of explaining it than I would have anyway. http://www.voodooextreme.com/forums/smile.gif
