Make up some ideas for new spells.
 
Just for fun...

Hostile Teleport - A ball shoots out and an area of ground is covered. (Sorta like frozen ground but with different effect). In 3 or 4 seconds any enemies that are in the area are teleported to their enemy manalith.

Vinering - An impassible ring of vines that can trap ground units inside it.

Gravity - All units are pulled toward a specific point.

Tar - Similar to frozen ground, but enemies on it move very slow and are more vulnerable to fire damage.

Earthlaunch - A small area (manalith size) drops down, trapping all land creatures on it (takes some time to effect and there is warning, like Bore). Then it shoots all the creatures VERY high (High enough that weaker creatures will die and high level creatures will take a lot of damage and be out of the fight while they are flying).

Bridge - creates a bridge (with a limited maximum length) across the air.

Mines - Covers an area in mines which can only be seen once in every 20 seconds. (remember Runes from Warcraft II) If the enemy sees them they can be attacked with ranged to detonate them.

I'm actually working on a new God right now. Not just ideas but stats comparing to those of the Astral Void

It's working out quite well, and the spell ideas are really fantastic.

BTW Would it be possible for me to "modify" Sac so I can add this god???

Oh, and could you guys sugest (in this post) some "water" type spells? In detail, not just the name. Creatures too.

Hmmm, I think a erupting spikes spell would be good for James. It would hold the creatures and it would damage them.

For Charnel maybe a coma spell which would make a unit (or group of units) fall over and not move for 20sec or so.

For Pyro I would add a fire ravine spell, one that would alter the ground around it so the nme creatures slide in to the blaze.

Stratos needs a more powerfull spell so I guess he could have a wind spell. moves all creatures back. That would be pretty cheap though with the map edges http://www.veforums.com/smile.gif

And finally for Pers I would give her a holy spear spell which would go through multiple guys. and maybe at the end it would explode.

As for ideas on a water god. Good creatures would be flying fish (lol) umm a serpent, and a crab/lobster. Good spells would be tsunami and spout. Hope that helps!

Yeah, a cage spell would be cool, trapping all ground units inside of it. Basically, it would be like the god's wall, just surrounding creatures. Another cool spell would be Tether, or something. You would cast it on a place in the ground, and it would send out hooks and chains towards the closest 5 enemies or something and they would get tethered to that point for a short time, while taking damage from the wounds inflicted from the hooks. Or how about Pit of Fire, where the land deforms so that its shaped in a bowl shape, and then it all lights on fire. A funny one would be Lightning Rod, which you would cast on an enemy, and every so often, that enemy would get struck by lightning, dealing a moderate amount of damage. Also, it would cause a lightning storm like the storm giants.

A flying transport unit would be very cool, like a zepplin or something. I think this was mentioned earlier, but you could have boarding parties and have fights zepplins floating around in midair. They can also be shot down by enemy ranged, so you would have to watch out for anti aircraft fire. Very cool idea, I wish I remember who thought it up.

Actually, a funny idea for a spell for Pyro would be something like Putrid Gas or Fart or something. Basically, you cast it on a place, and around that area this greenish gas appears, and if its lit on fire (as in anything like a fireball or firewall or whatever comes within the cloud of gas) it explodes in a fiery blast of death to anything caught within.

I thought of a spike wall spell. It would create a large wall of spikes that would be very high, and it would be covered with spikes on one side. That side would fall onto creatures beneath the wall, dealing massive damage.

Fire spells? Inferno from diablo 2. It would be great if you could act like a wizard-flamethrower. You could stop it by moving (you could still turn) or it would automatically stop when you run out of mana. But to keep it from lasting forever, when the spell would be active you wouldn't get mana from any source in range (Like being diseased in patch 3).

I would like a smaller version of tornado. Or more accurately, a bigger version of the vortick blast. It would act like a wind blast that would send creatures in an area (2x the size of a manalith) very high up in the air. Similar to a vortick blast, only the creatures would go much higher. It would be like erupt...only better http://www.veforums.com/smile.gif.

What else? Oh yeah. A really sick Charnel spell! It would have to be a level 10+ spell. Here's my vision of it: A BIG red portal would appear (like the ones that sac doctors appear from) and Charnel himself would come out of the portal. A part of him would stay in the portal (everything below the waiste). That should make him immobile and stuck with an area effect. He would pick creatures up at a moderate rate and pull on their arms/legs untill they gib. Charnel would be pretty high above the ground so the souls would slowly float down. That would be sooooo cool! But you couldn't possibly balance that. Anyway, you wanted new spells...you didn't say they have to be balanced. http://www.veforums.com/biggrin.gif

Nice list http://www.veforums.com/smile.gif http://www.veforums.com/biggrin.gif . I like all your spell ideas but there's one I don't understand. The hostile teleport, its like suicide. (Exept if you gaurdianed any creatures to your manaliths and you want a ambush) If this the case my apologies

I like all of these ideas. I was thinking that Pyro could have a spell that was like an area firewalk, it could be called flamewave. When you cast it, all of your creatures within a certain area firewalk with you to the point you specified. They would all get there in a line formation.

I think a good spell would be "Scything Claws" You cast it on a nice patch of ground, and four huge Claws pop out and wave around hurting guys. If you cast it on a creature, it cound even move, kinda like cloudkill. But to keep with water, they could be Kraken tentacles instead of claws.

For creatures you could have Godzilla as the avatar. He's from the water,right? For the lvl. 1 flyers you could have flying fish that shoot jets of water from thier mouths, like archer fish. Artillery could launch globs of mud that slow down enemys, or acid mud to hurt them too. One of the guy's special abilities could be to pop out a little typhoon, like soul wind minus the lightning. It could whirl them around a bit, them toss 'em down. That would be a good ability for the powerful ranged guy in the army(you have a powerfil ranged guy, right???)
