Default Has Shiny gone out of business?

I know there were rumors that Sacrifice would be their last game on the PC. So is that why there is noone here to help or answer questions via email for close to 3 weeks now? I mean everyone deserves a Christmas vacation but umm 3 weeks? For chrissakes thats not very professional =(

I can't understand why almost every PC game company is switching platforms to consoles!! Yeah, they are more powerfull than the average pc, but in one year the pc's will have gone far more powerfull than ps2, for example. I dont believ you can get Sacrifice half as beautifull on ps2 as on the pc, cause ps2 has about 640x480 resolution and 400mhz cpu. That kinda low, don't you think? Bah, I just write ****, but this is what I think!! PC's better than console.

Developing for a console = one set of standards significantly reducing if not eliminating compatibility problems. It is almost impossible to make a pc game today that is groundbreaking without a ton of compatibility issues and the game developer always seems to get the blame when things don't work. People forget that year & older video cards tend to be forgotten by their manufacturers & new drivers are not coming out as the manufacturers want you to buy their new ones. Its frustrating to have all working on a particular video card & between the time you go gold & the game hits the store shelf the driver is changed & the card no longer works with the game. Again its your fault. Until the hardware market matures & the # of video card standards diminishes I think you'll see more & more developers leaning toward console games instead of pc.

consoles = bad. i hate consoles. i perfer my PC where i can do everything in one hit! and i dont think consoles will ever have the multiplayer capicity the PC does.

is it really that hard to update a PC?? just do a little research on what you have and get the appropriate part and plug it in. :P

Well that would make sense if the game worked on the specified hardware and drivers you actually designed the game for but in my case it doesnt and in many others it doesnt. Rather than just give up on the situation wouldnt it be better to fix the problems via patches and updates than to just abandon the PC market altogethor?

Seems like a cheap way out to me...I certainly hope you will not be dropping Sacrifice altogethor as I have still been unable to get the game runnign stable and I have a fairly generic setup Geforce2, SBLive Xgamer 5.1, AMD athlon 800, Asus k7m Motherboard.

Seems like Sacrifice has major compatibility issues with AMD processors and the AGP bus as most everyones problems are fixed via disabling AGP however your reasoning behind hardware and drivers changing faults here because nothing has changed in my agp bus and processor since I first ran Messiah and that game ran fine. Being that its the same engine the fault has to lie within your code somewhere I just cant believe that you all are having such a hard time troubleshooting bugs. If you cant manage it I guess the best thing is to go to console market as your right it is much easier however you all will be missed in the PC Market and I sincerely doubt you will have the same following on the console market.

Best of luck though.

Sacrifice uses an entirely different engine than Messiah's engine.
